For anyone else equally intrigued by this game, here are some other fun facts I stole from the cutting room floor wiki and the regular wiki. 1. When Ava Cadavra appears, a bug causes the mayor (Honest Jackson) to disappear completely from the game. He does not ever reappear. He just stops spawning completely. A dev confirmed this bug. 2. There was a cut objective from the game involving Optimum Alfred projectile vomiting all over the hotel. This mission results in the robot becoming corrupted after you install a file that stops him from throwing up everywhere... which is why Alfred turning evil comes completely out of no where in the final game. Alfred must be able to throw up or he will go insane. 3. THERE IS AN ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP SYSTEM IN THIS GAME. You can make townies go from being your worst enemy to your soulmate. Getting them to max relationship reveals a secret that is usually one line of boring text. 4. The sun roof used to have a cannon/observatory thing that was replaced by the weird metal cage. 5. If you play long enough without saving and enter new areas enough times, the game stops being able to display textures. 6. In the modern guest room's bathroom you can clip out of the map without much effort. 7. The guy who sends the letters about the hotel is actually the player from the prequel's boss. 8. Speaking of the prequel, it looks even more rushed than this one considering half of the story's content was cut. 9. Moods play a bigger role in this game than just being annoying. If a hotel guest is in an unhappy mood, they can alter the furniture in their rooms. Sad sims will change the paint colors. Angry sims break furniture. Loopy sims vomit and send the weird text messages. 10. All of the unromanceable npcs are male. Girl players always get the shit end of the stick I guess. 11. The Jimmy the neck dude is the cousin Frankie wanted you to buy a ticket for. So you give him a plane ticket and he proceeds to attack your hotel while Frankie and his daughter just watch. Thanks Frankie. 12.Burple WAS in the ds game, but he was cut for some reason. He was supposed to speak normally because of a speech issue. He exists in the ds game but has no scripting. 12 This game has a counterpart on the PSP... And the final fun fact, which is a massive spoiler for the prequel: . . . . . If the GBA sims 2 is truly the DS prequel, then the original owner of the hotel is still being held hostage by Emperor Xizzle and could possibly be the one putting shit in your ass when you get abducted.

I noticed Mayor Jackson is gone I guess he got abducted by Aliens and no one cares goodbye. Theres no more Mayor in town and when you call him it says he's in his office but he's not....

you missed out the glitch where the vacuume cleaner can just corrupt your game for no clear reason.... but maybe that's just my copy

@@quietstories795 also the alien autopsy minigame can completely corrupt your save if you try to play it without a mummified alien, doing this causes the game to crash every time you open your inventory. learned that the hard way

This was one the funniest shit I've watched in a while. Every time I thought the game's tank was empty it just kept on giving. The Sims 2 for the DS does not slow down and it does not compromise. Magnum Opus.

honestly so true. I played this game as a kid and I think it altered my brain chemistry in a subconscious but still very much fundamental way that I can't describe (which feels pretty fitting considering How Sims 2 DS Is)

You have to time travel to get all of the skill points and License plates which goes in that place in your room. The skill points stay for 8 hrs and the License Plates are every hour so I time traveled to get those. I time traveled to a few minutes before the next hour so I can get two at once And most of the other items you get at the store like the ghost painting but sometimes by the cows but thats only if someone lost it....

I came across your channel because you were one of the only KZbinrs to cover this game. I used to play this game as a kid and I have lots of nostalgic memories from it. But watching you play it in such a childish manor really made this experience unwatchable for me. Maybe it’s because I have OCD or because I played this game before and know what the correct choices are but I found my self skipping through most of the videos in your series just to find out what happened in the story. It was funny at first but the jokes got old really quick. I quickly became frustrated, irritated and annoyed. I mean I was able to play this game and figure out what to do, without a guide, at 10 years old. I really hope no one else feels that way but yikes.
