It always makes me laugh to see those Fisher Price Jpeg "worlds" with 12 lots that they release with each TS4 expansion pack. Like TS4 players be like "Oh yeah, Henford-on-Bagley is awesome. I loooooove having one 64x64 lot to work with."

I do have to say I enjoy playing Sims 4 - with fourteen mods... But Sims 3 is so much better, I do play with mods, however I wouldn't need them to have fun, it's just to add on for extra fun with the game

for ts3 i just have story progression, save cleaner, traveler, lighting mods, etc. gameplay-wise, i just use some mods that change minor things like no small pets bites, children can do more adult hobbies, a few more careers... the difference between my never-ending ts4 mods folder containing 50+ mods trying to fix the gameplay and make the game fun is INSANE.

When I graduated from high school, the first Sims came out. I've been obsessed ever since. Sims 4 really had the potential to take sims 2 and sims 3 and create magic. And they did, but it was more of a card trick instead of Harry Potter hexes

I'll go back to TS4 sometimes... but I'll get bored so quick x_X I really only like it for the build mode/CAS, though Create A Style is *annoying* to live without. The CC and mod dynamic is odd for TS4 coming from TS3 just because you have to constantly update mods and get rid of some CC with new updates since they always break. That alone drives me crazy as a CC addict lol. The biggest deal-breaker for me is no open-world (among other things) EA is just an awful company and Maxis has become *completely* absorbed by them. I'm glad I didn't buy any more of their over-priced packs. It was funny watching this stream though 😹

People on Reddit that LOVE the Sims 4 will literally drag you for not liking the game. It's extremely childish and ridiculous. If you tell them why you like the Sims 3 or even that you like the graphics of the Sims 3 they will ALWAYS have something negative to say. There is just no getting along with them. Then people wonder why there is so much drama in the Sims Community. None of this was an issue before the Sims 4. It's like the game has made people toxic. If you go on Reddit you better know your audience. 🤷‍♀️

I think it's not people becoming toxic but rather toxic people joining the community. I feel like most people who are die hard Sims 4 fans are younger and have not experienced any previous Sims titles. A lot of games in this era get simplified for the players' sake. This happens on a graphic level but also regarding gameplay systems. Sims is not the only victim of that. No front against younger people but I feel like most of them lack the maturity and appear therefore toxic and less chill. Or fans are heavily biased because it was their first Sims game. A person who has played any Sims game before Sims 4 would react much different. Edit: Reddit explains it pretty much. Most Reddit communities in general are toxic af and have zero tolerance for other valid opinions.

Honestly, the fact that the sims 4 literally went backwards in the franchise hurts. Not only are we getting singular expansions to things in the past which had heaps more they removed the world system, the color wheel, playable pets, the majority of occult aren't playable still, etc etc. It lacks so much but it also does things so well at the same time. I love that they expanded upon the present occults, I like the graphics, I like the expanded emotions (Even though sims 3 had that already with the mood tab), etc If we got a sims game with all features of the sims 3, expanded stuff from sims 4, and the absolute insanity and death that the sims 2 had I would be at peace.

I also was playing sims 4 when I was 14-15 and I think I played it until I was 17 and then I got so mad at expansions prices. The only thing that kept me playing for two/three years were mods and cc. Amount of great cc creators for Sims 4 is insane

I know this stream is kinda old by now but I just came to watch it and girl, I can't with the Sims 4 💀 It straight up looks and feels like a mobile game and not like a worthy descendant to Sims 3. It looks heartless, the "worlds" (more like PNGs) and the general overlay look like an alpha version of game development. And don't get me started on that tune that ALWAYS plays as soon as you move lots, after the whole loading screen. This is supposed to be a life simulation??? Come on, I'm genuinely in shock right now as I've never seen the Sims 4 besides Call Me Kevin's videos where he fs sh*t up. Also I just think it's so funny how they had actual Simmers build lots cause they couldn't be arsed or just fd up, like I remember (because I play it all the time) EA's builds in Sims 3. Yes, they were kind of dumb as well, but also fleshed out, detailed, you could see that at least some heart or effort went into them, but now they rely on simmers?? Who they almost don't pay at all??? Come on man

@31:30 - Meh. I don't see what all the fuss is about Kits. $5 for 21-26 items is so much better than the $10-15 for the same size sets in The Sims 3 Store. (I uninstalled TS4 this morning. I was getting the "Maybe buying more will make it good" feeling with only the base game + Seasons (bought as a bundle) and Tiny Living Stuff (couldn't resist the lure of murphy beds and the associated death :P). The previous games never gave me that feeling. It also wasn't helping that, even with full Social, my Loner sim would actively seek out other sims to talk with whenever he was out of the house. :/)

They should had add two extra worlds for expansions because that be 36 lots in total and no one will be mad. I'm so glad I am not buying this game at all. I save my money over the years. Even MMOs have massive worlds with many buildings. Then expansions add more areas to the world. Picture Wow literally only add worlds the side of sims 4 worlds. There be outrage!
