I've looked at a few different playthrus of Ultimate Decades, and this one is definitely my favorite. I don't know why, but I've gotten so attached to the Hastings family specifically. Spoiler below: I find it funny that the series started with a "Warning! This may include very young Sims dying! Click away if this will upset you!"...and yet seven episodes in, Marie is STILL the only one who has died.

Pro tip (since I play this, too): do not slaughter the pidgeons and chickens because not slaughtered you can make chicken and pidgeon pie, which has 8 servings and stays fresh for 24 hours, so enough for 2 meals (only needs flower and butter if I remember right). Also: send all your sims on 4-5 foraging trips first, then plant what you can and then, while stuff grows, let one sim do the chores and cooking and taking care of the plants and let the other living ones fish or hunt to sell whatever they get. Fun fact: I sew medieval and viking clothes as a hobby and wear them, too. The cloaks made from (thick) natural materials like wool actually keep you dry for quite a while. I've stood in the rain in one for over an hour and while the moisture was starting to seep through, making it heavier and cold I didn't get wet. I assume even after 2 hours it would have been moist. Now if you consider the fact that the wool cloaks the peasants wore back then were not washed with soap, just water, you'd have to conclude that the oils in the cloth would make it even more resistant to water than my thick wool cloak. So yeah, umbrellas were not really necessary if you had a good cloak.

Love watching other decades challenge! I’m playing through mine now, love watching how others create their families and story lines! I’m always looking for more cc and it looks like you have some different cc then I have. What cc and conversions are you using? Also what reshape are you using?

I'm using a multitude of cc that I've found on the sims resource, but for specific lots, furniture & clothing I use 'YeMedieval', 'Sifix' and 'Medieval Sim Tailor', just to name a few... and I'm currently using ellcrze's gshade, but I believe it is discontinued at the moment unfortunately

I wish Maxis would pay attention to what challenges are active in the Sims4 community. I still had my Medieval game loaded and angry they made it so limited in its gameplay. I love this challenge, even having the option of a different world where the entire community is an era activity of game play, all within the worlds menu. We could just select an era and play.

If you're specifically looking for furniture cc, I primarily use Simbishy's 'YeMedieval Peasant Homelife' cc packs as I find they have a range of objects included, however I also use Angela's 'Tristian Bathroom Sink' & 'Tristian Bathroom Bath' for a bath & sink option... And I don't use that many overlays, but I am planning to create a sims tumblr or cc haul soon to showcase most of the overlays and/ or mods I use! Hope that helps ❤
