Actually, there is a way to clean the dishes without the sims walking to the sink! Just remove the door of the workhouse, and remove all sinks. They will not walk to the sink, they will just pick it up and it disappears. Hope this helps! :)

Yes, you need to fill up the cooking hobby completely. You'll get 5 LPs each time you complete it (except when completing it for the very first time. You'll get the cutting boards instead) Hope this helps (ツ)

Once you click on to clean up and the sim picks up the plate, cancel the task and the plate disappears, you don't have to wait on them to take it to the sink...I do this all the time..

We do know about that, but it requires too much quick tapping with 10 sims in our opinion, so we didn’t recommend it.

Try removing the sinks/turning them to the wall & kick over the garbage can, that way the clean up is super quick & you still get the xp & any monument resources that may drop

Preteens can collect L.Ps by diving. If you have any preteens around that have nothing to do, give them the diving hobby. It only gives 3 L.Ps but leave no sim unoccupied.

Just as a note for the Cooking Hobby, if you have 10 sims and to get them to lvl 6 using using the 1 minute task will take 2 hours of staring at your device

The lack of privacy with those toilets made me laugh. I feel like the odds of getting LP and SP for watching ads has gotten better recently. I gave up on them for a while, because I felt like I was getting nothing but furniture I hated, but tried on a whim recently and was surprised to get multiple SP in one session!

When completing the cooking hobby and your left with lots of plates of food, if you ensure the the Sims cannot go outside, have no access to a sink the food will disappear when they go to clean it up, making the process a lot quicker. It is also easier if you have a kitchen counter for each of your sims to put the food on rather than the floor. Hope this helps.

If all you’re doing with the cook house is making sims do cheese on toast over and over, you do not need a fridge, cutting board, or microwave. All you need is the toaster and a counter to put it on. I’ve never had a cook house with more than just that. When you get tired of having them fill up the hobby collections, just put them to planting for the night (or for however long you’re away)

To prevent the sims from going to the garbage can, just have one of them kick the can over. That way all you need is 1 sink. This actually makes it go a lot faster, because with 1 sink, the rest of the sims simply cancel their cleaning action and the plates disappear.

Lydia최 the best reset hobby imo is the fashion design hobby, because it’s available early in the game and the tables cost simoleons rather than LP (like the diving boards). For §25,000 you can buy ten fashion tables, set the sims working them for ten minutes, and boom, they’re ready to start cooking again!

Good tips, in my work houses I have the fridge, toaster, microwave, cutting board, sink & a weather machine in a small non-accessible room in the basement . Also if you kick over the garbage can your sims will just bend & pick up the plates to clean them instead of going all the way to the trash

If you complete the quest to get it, the dishwasher is really helpful because no matter how many dirty plates there are, it's puts every single plate in in just 24 seconds. Also, I usually put 10 Sims in my best house I have and inspire them that way.

This works so well. It takes a long time but it gives you experience for cleaning up dishes, money when you make lots of the food, and LP when you get all of the utensils. I just do it while I'm watching a movie or show and I've been able to get so much stuff! Thanksss!!!

Heres what i do.. dont use any sink.. just put your sims inside the room, and remove the door so that when they clean the plate, they didnt need to go out to the trashcan, its quicker that way.. i think 🤔🤔

+Make2 Even quicker clean up is to remove the sinks and kick over the trash can; the plates disappear when the Sims pick them up. The trash can resets itself every few days(ish) so you have to keep an eye on it and kick as needed.

You could easily Mary your first cousin if you're not paying attention. Sims 3 is much better at family trees.

I've been doing real estate for quick money. I moved all of my sims together so each household have 4 sims in 9 houses. For 9 houses my Snow chalet cost for about 106k on regular plot for about 4 hours. I can resell everything about 400k. And demonish the house n repeat. All my sims go to work or work on their life dream after they are done they will farm beans or onions. I started from 200k after about 3 days I have 3 millions. So far the snow chalet give the best money, even if I keep all furniture the floor n rooms alone give about 400k, so I make 300k+ from a single house

This really helps I got 56LP with 10 sims in 24 hours but I don't even play so much I definitely recommend the cooking hobby and use cheese and tomato on toast . And the cooking hobby helps for simoleons too

SP> I have a tip too. During events you get sp’s for reaching the milestones. Each event gives you about 15 sp’s if you reach all of the milestones (Not sure is it 15) It’s not that many, but it’s worth a try!

The way I did a workhouse was 5x12 with another room next to it with 10 fashion studio. This way I can reset the sim’s hobby to get the cooking rewards again and to complete the event that’s currently going on. I used counters instead of sinks, that way no sim will block a plate stack when then bend down to pick another plate stack, making it so I can’t clean it, and that way only one sim will go to the garbage and the rest of the plates will just vanish. If you have 20 or more sims (teen or above), it might work to make two workhouses, 10 per house. That way while one house is cleaning from cooking, one is cooking. By the time you finish collecting and cleaning, the other house finishes cooking. I haven’t timed the collecting and cleaning, so this idea could be a waste of money and time.

Thanks for sharing these great tips. To increase efficiency try no sink on the plot. The first Sim will use the bin/trash can and the rest of the Sims finish cleaning plates immediately on the spot plus earn XPs. Note: for the Sims to earns XPs the first Sim must already pick up their stack of plates and be on their way to the bin before the rest of the Sims start to clean up. Otherwise the next Sims will refuse the action (the plates will still clear away but they won’t earn XPs). Here’s a tip: build the room far from the bin/trash can. This gives the first Sim a nice long walk and leaves plenty of time for the remaining Sims to click on the remaining plate stacks. Then, when all the plates are cleared, cancel the first Sim’s action before they reach the bin to avoid reducing their cleanliness bar (at a cost of losing XPs for their action). Also, to hurry things along the first Sim should choose to clear the plate stack closest to them - this helps avoid that wait time where other Sims refuse the action. It’s also quicker to let the plates build up instead of clearing them every time. (Edited this comment a few times as I tested with and without one sink near the cookers. One sink works too but it’s less efficient. In a separate building on the same large plot I do have toilet and sink facilitates and the Sims don’t use them for clearing plates, I think it’s because they’re too far away). Hope this is helpful :)

Just some helpful hints. I didn't have 18,000 to do this. I built the room for 890 and then filled it with free stuff in my inventory. So I only paid 890 total for the workhouse. I also only put in 4 coffee pots. You can instantly finish this action for free so sharing 4 pots wasn't a big deal. I also discovered that you need absolutely no sinks. I only add 1 sink when they need to clean up, then I take it away again. It's another free instant finish, so they can share the sink. This makes your room build even cheaper. Unfortunately, I discovered this after I built mine to specs. First, kick over the trash can and leave it like that. With no sinks and again a free instant finish, the dishes just disappear when they clean them up.

You don't need a microwave or chopping board to complete the collection. You only need a toaster (to make the quick, one minute cheese on toast). Other cooking items are only required for other recipes

abhirxxp pal1 this also works with the Japanese retreat as long as it only cost 9000 simoleons. If you sell everything in and outside of the house and demolish it you will pull in a profit of 60,000-ish simoleons. Hope this helps!

I had a sim kick trash can over . Take out the sink. And put a counter in-between each stove. When you press clean it pops a bubble and gives you you blue xp. It's quick and not tedious. Thanks for the video.

If you kick over the garbage can outside the house and get rid of the sinks, your sims will immediately clean up when told to. They pick up the plate and jump in the air, and it's done. Really quick! You also get the xp this way.

I’m really late but, if you make 2 sims married , and move them together in one house, you will be able to, move in a sim without paying simolens, so I suggest you make all your sims married and moved in so you get more sims but not spending that many simolens.

I found a way to clean dishes faster. Remove the sinks and have have a Sims clean dishes and the dish will just vanish, this will save time. This seemed to be working quite quickly. I put in one shower for each Sim and one fridge for each Sim to keep them happy. This method seems to be quite effective. Thank you for all the tips. 🙂

tip: for the cooking task, put the stove, and counter tops in one room with NO door and NO sinks, obv let ur sims in before you take the doors out. then clean up normally, the plate will disappear in less than a second and get your xp too

I've noticed that if you have & apply cupcakes or rainbow cake slices to whichever gardener is planting monster potential plants (that help sims stay 'inspired') also seem to help odds of those garden monsters at bay, for me anyway

For simeoleons, i found it easy to have the sims plant onions before i actually go to sleep. when i get up, i send them straight to work (working at the stadium is higher pay) then once that’s done (i suggest turning on notifications) you have them plant again! very easy and effective, you make about 80k a week.

Kinda late but the best way to do this hobby is with the HANS ON dishwasher just let the plate pile up and click it to load all the plates they disappear immediately, also I put it in a small 1x2 room because you can only load it once and it takes an hour to “wash dishes” but you can delete the room replace the dishwasher and it’s good to go again!

I don't know if they've changed the game. You may want to test it before you buy a bunch of bathroom sinks. As of October 2023, my Sims will not use a bathroom sink to wash the dishes and will walk all the way to the trash can. But he will use a kitchen sink.

Y'all, I have a tip for the work house~ you can buy ten inspiring fish. I could achieve soo much doing this hobby, because LP really help you a lot. But the plates really annoying, that's why i work soo hard on completing the HANS ON quest so i can unlock the dishwasher.. and doing the hobby is much easier. Or if you miss the quest, just put the sims inside the closed room without doors and begin to clean up the plates that way the plates would disappear once your sims pick it up, of course you have to move the plates outside the building.. but i find that way is faster than actually wait the sims cleaning in the sinks.

Whenever you receive flooring or walls for free, build one room as big as possible, place the floor/wall in there and then sell the whole room. I just made 38.000§ out of one free wall with this trick.

What I do is have more than one work house. I have a separate house for gardening so more sims can do stuff at the same time. I also have rooms with fridges/phones/couches/computers/etc to have all my sims in one place for the pregnancy quest or Sim Chase. I also have a house for the live events too with all the candle making stations and such

I would suggest doing the gardening until you’re able to get to the very last main quest where you get life orbs that sell for a lot. The first orb you get will be sliver, so if you do the table glitch, you can duplicate it and sell it for 90,000.

actually there is a way to make the sims not wash the dishes or go all the way to the trash can! all you do is NOT put any sinks in the room and you kick over the trash can so all they do is go to the dish when you click on clean up and it just goes away on its own!

If you hit the x button right after you get the sims to clean, you can skip slot of time during cleaning

This video is quite old but I'm going to comment this anyway. Instead of getting loads of sinks just get a sim to kick the bin over. the sims have no where to clean the dishes so they just pick them up and they disappear

Tip: if ur doing cooking hobby without a door and they put it outside and your to lazy just tap the thing we’re u add furniture and move the plate inside😮

I just started doing the cooking/farming house thing. I also have been moving my sims in together so that I will have other houses and not have to build new ones. Then I sell everything that belongs to a sim I don’t really care for. I need 150,000 simoleons to build the community center, but I only have 15,000. I have a 6 day time limit hahaha. -kill me-

I'm a newbie... so I appreciate all your tips. One thing I do for the work farm... why spend the $ for walls/floors? I just add all the appliances... works great! Ha
