Tap your Active Task button at the lower left of screen to see what you need to work on next. The small green and white number in the tasks list will also show all the quests you have coming up.

In order to avoid this quest, stop the discovery quests during the In Stitches quest. If you don't finish it, then Life Dreams and Legacies won't pop up. Or finish In Stitches and don't do the quest. So no, its not mandatory.

I did do it and I just added a sim from the program specifically to do this quest. That way it really did not matter. I also have found that there's the option to not age your SIMS once they get to the end of their life cycle. I use this option a lot when I have not completed all of my life dreams yet. Therefore, if you wanted to you could complete the quest and always choose "no" when you are asked if you want to age your SIM. Hope this helps someone.☺

Sims FreePlay isn't really freeplay because you can't do anything you want like on sims 4 you have to complete tasks.... the app is free but there are in app purchases

Ahh, I'm in the middle of this quest right now and now I know that my senior sim has to die during the quest so sad, she has three kids, ones an adult, the other ones are a preteen and a toddler, she also has a granddaughter who she hasn't had a chance to meet yet 😭. Anyways now I know you can put an emoji in your sims name, good to know😌
