Shot in the dark here on replys since its so old, but what if you need the grounded peice to move? Im designing a lever that pulls a rod back and forth but can also rotate another rod that is attached to it.. think of an airplane control stick. You can pull it forward and back to push a pushrod and ALSO rotate it left and right to rotate a torque tube thats attached to that same stick. It seems impossible with fusion because you have to ground a part and basically everything moves. I got the lever to work with the pushrod by grounding the pin the lever rotates about, but now i cant add the motion left and right to make the other rod rotate. I need to move on 2 axis that are 90 degrees to eachother

Really good video, lots of content - Inserting from 3rd party libraries, Bodies to Components, Rigid and Ball joints very helpful.

Wow!!! I'm just learning fusion (day 2) this one blew my mind. I accomplished the tutorial just as you did, and have a functioning ball joint. Unreal. This software is powerful.

your videos are great man, other fusion tutors either talk to slow for me or click around too much without any context. youre killin it and making youtube a better place.

I'm trying to decide between Rhino and Fusion for drawing and operating the CNC and 3D printer. So far, this is hands-down a better tutorial than AutoDesk Tutorials.

does the contact set remain in place for the joint or otherwise populate the yaw, pitch and roll fields for the ball joint?

I just started getting into using computers to design and even print. I know how to use other's files for my own prints, but I do not know how to make my own. Right now, I am needing a mock-up rod end for an offroad vehicle I'm building. That's what lead me here. Now, I need to figure out how to separate the components from each other and modify the joint body to be assembled and disassembled. I plan on making it so the spherical ball can be used for different widths and install locations.

this is more of an animation, can you also do a simulation of static stress of the ball joint?

Hi Fusion Essentials.. I have see a great deal of your video and I have learnt so much now i have a challenge that i am have issues with and I would like for you to guide me in the right direction. I am trying to create a front axle that turns, seems simple but its not, ok ! front axle at each end turns the wheels I have all that working great the issue I am having is how to put the connecting rod between the left and right and have it turn the wheels correctly. i have hooked up the rod but when i do all the motions don't work, hope you can guide me in this area, Thanks Ray
