The nassarius snails are bad for the fauna long term in an enclosed ecosystem. The lightening mode on the lights is also unnecessarily stressful for the fish. I never use mine.

They are not actually starfish but are very closely related What you said, was like saying rolly poley bugs and pill bugs are two separate animals.
