I have a question if you say d/dt x = f(x,t,b) then why do we still need to solve the differential equation? is it then not either 'x = f(x,t,b)' or 'd/dt x = d / dt f(x,t,b)' ?

That's the perfect follow up on why Chaos is ' still a huge problem ' in fields like weather prediction. Wonder what makes a non linear system ' choatic ' ..

I have Matlab 14a, How to simulate Lorenz équation like you. I try it but program put error.

I love your videos but often don't complete your playlists because I struggle to discern the order of these videos. Do you have a link I follow to go through the videos in order? I really love how you explain things and want to continue learning, but just struggling with the order.

Thanks for the great comment. I will be working on some more playlists soon, so hopefully I can make it easier to navigate.

WHAT A NICE PRESENTATION. HOW CAN ONE DETERMINE THE VALUES OF THE PARAMETER THAT WILL YIELD CHAOS?

I enjoyed your video. This is my first viewing of your video on Lorentz system solving using MATLB ODE45. Is there an email I can use to contact you by email and/or chat?

I love your way of explaining things, the clarity and the efficiency. Your control bootcamp playlist is famous among electrical engineers at ETH Zurich :) ! I would really like to code a continuous animation of this simulation. Is there a straight-forward solution that a intermediate matlab-user can understand or does one has to get way into the weeds to go from this, I'll call it rather static animation to a continuous one? Cheers from switzerland!

Did you figure this out? I would be interested to hear solutions 🙂

Why is t an intput to the function? It is not used. I get an error every time I try to run Lorenz.m. "too many input arguments"

Very efficient :) Let me explain a scenario.. As u mentioned here you had an initial condition which is explained neatly what if we have a data set or multiple parameter values of a system for which I need to design a Lorenz attractor..say X1, Y1, Z1 to X99, Y99, Z99 are different systems parameter values. How can I imports these excel values... Any thoughts??

This does not work for me. It produces no chaotic behaviour? I've copied your code exactly

Very good explanation, but I cannot read the notes on the screen. You are using a colored pencil and, at least in my computer, I can hardly see anything.
