Ben, I had the same problem with my Cinelog 25 v2 in acquiring sats. I found that if you install a longer length after market 03 antenna that increases the distance between the antenna and the gps unit it seems to acquire more sats more quickly. I purchased the 145mm Osprey Dual-band FPV Antenna from FlyFish. Very easy to install, take the skid plate off and disconnect the UFL connectors on the air unit and remove dji o3 antenna. Doesn’t matter which air unit UFL connector to which antenna coax connector. Anyway it seemed to improve my GPS performance. Thanks again for your videos and keep having fun!

@@markbosold4050 thanks a lot Mark, this is great to know, I have already bought a longer one to be fair but it wasn’t for this intended purpose…..I’ll get onto that soon as…really appreciate it 🤙🏼

it all about stick time, there is some ''deliberate'' practise stuff you can do. big bank turns, then split s's, and emergency stops. emergency stops are great for boosting confidence to recover from anything. next i would suggest low fast flying above a road or concrete, dont practise this over grass, it digs in if you crash, concrete you just bounce back into the air. you should get at least 6 packs, the smooth flying is looking good already, the precision is the tough one, it kinda sneaks up on you. you'll be flying one day and realise when there is zero wind you feel like you could hit any gap, then shortly after that you will be fine in any wind up to 10mph. look into setting up ''idle up'' if you have disarm under your left fingers you will be able to hand launch and land, i cant do that, and many many times i have dearly wished i could. flying in ravines along streams its sometimes hard to find a take off point, or beaches.... it also looks as cool af hehehe. have a look at any quadmvr vid, he is an og legend.

Thanks mate, there's loads of stuff I need to practice, I mentioned it yesterday in my flight that'll come out in a few week. Some "freestyle" stuff. Just need the muscle memory to switch up! Yeah grass is a killer haha, looks cool tho. Hard to practice on concrete with the cinelog because it had 3D printed feet underneath. I'll have a look at the idle up part you mentioned, I have already set up my arm on the left side for this very reason lol. I'll look at Quadmvr shortly......thanks again!!

@@BBDigitalArts its probably worth thinking about buying a basher. its hard to fly/learn, when you only have one quad, the fear of crashing just spoils it. get something tough you can throw about a bit, top tip is to use google earth pro to find new spots, theres also a built in flight sim nobody ever mentions, good fun. if you dont have any obvious landscape features around look for quarries. try and get used to a 10deg cam angle, preserving speed through dives and manouvres is king. i can freefall from hundreds of feet and choose which speed i come out of the dive, often the best speed is gonna be very low, like 20mph or less, when your cam angle is high it just leaves you a smaller window of speeds you can pull out with, usually above 40mph. the good thing about a low angle is you learn speed control without a million crashe, worst that can happen with a low cam angle? you belly flop to a dead stop, worst that can happen with a high angle? you full throttle into the ground or worse up into a tree. speed control is the name of the game for cinematic flying, going from 90mph dive to fly low along the ground at 20mph, or 90mph if thats what looks best, you can't do a 90mph dive and come out at 20mph with a high cam angle, anything above 25 you will shoot out like a sling shot.

I make sure the GPS receives power from the flight controller when powered on from the USB. That way I can plug in a USB power bank so the GPS can get a sat. lock before plugging in the battery.

@@BBDigitalArts You absolutely can, just remember to disconnect the USB before trying to fly off ;) Most GPS antennas have a small battery in them to retain the satellite almanac. This is the satellite position data that it needs, over an hour or so it doesn't change much so after the first fix the remaining fixes immediately afterwards are fast.

Evening mate, since the last vlog I've moved on and actually got myself the Mobula 8 tiny whoop.. Been loving it. You know what I've found the hardest from moving from the avata 2... battery life! Not knowing when the dji will brown out or how to judge when to land trying to be close to 7.4/7.5v volts and judging the battery life left to land....

@@RenzFPV ahhh no way, an O3 on there is ace, so small haha Different battery read out than mine, won’t show 7.4 or 5.7……my 4S batteries would show 14v when I have to land. I’ve heard good things about the radiomasters
