Great job Mr.Kouta. If you let me i want to say something about conformal mesh to help watchers. You define a some contact region in your video. As you know if you unify the shell, tube and pcm region in design modeler, you will no longer need to define any contact in your mesh arrangement. Unify operation in design modeler, automatically makes that region's contact surface as one part and make ur mesh as conformal i think...

Lovely tutorial, however 1 millinewton meter is just 0.001 newton meter hence surface tension between water and air should be 0.06 instead of 0.6

Hello Ahmad. This is an excellent tutorial for a evaporation problem. I have a similar case but I am using continuous inlet flow of 0.1m/s. Eventually the solution diverges for continuity. Would you be able to say what could be the issue here. Your help in this is highly appreciable. Thank you.

I could understand the surface tension between water-steam and water-air to be around 0.06 n/m, but the interfacial tension between steam and air should be negligible. Isn't it?

Hi, as far as I remember, I didn't use any specific mesh for this case, just an acceptable one to carry out the simulation. I wish I still have the simulation files as many are asking for details about this part. My apologies and wishing you all the best!

Hi! It's very useful video! I followed your steps to simulate my simple 2D pipe model. The water is passing through inlet and fully converted vapor is coming out from outlet. I can see vapor volume fraction changes in pipe and outlet. But I couldn't able to get vapor mass flow rate in outlet. I don't have why I couldn't able to mass flow rate of vapor. The mass flow rate of water is 0.4 kg/s but vapor mass flow rate is 0 kg/s. Could I help me to find the mistake?

Hello Sir, I do a similar job (condensation of an r134a refrigerant) in the school setting with a solid (tube) and a fluid (pcm). but when i want to create contours for vapor and liquid phase, "interior pcm" and "interior tube" do not appear in the surfaces. do you know how to do it please? I've been stuck on it for 2 weeks.

Actually i couldnt understand why did you assign a surface tension coefficient between air - water and air- vapor. They cannot contact in fluid flow because shell zone seperate them from each other. If u answer my question, i will be really so happy sir...

if i use 30 and 40 degree centrigrade of wall of a 2d body and 37 as saturation temp then is it possible to evaporate water with this model? actually i am working on solar still
@AhmadKouta
@AhmadKouta 6 жыл бұрын
Hello Tonoy! Unfortunately, we can't predict the results. You must run your simulations and then make the proper modifications when facing an obstacle. Evaporation is a challenging topic. So it's not simple to know the outcome by just pre-assuming values. Good luck!
