For who is wondering why this fixed mapping exists, it's because circles. Angles imply circles in which triangles reside, so the hypotenuse is like a bowstring and the imagined outside of the circle is the bow. Circles are always the same angles regardless of size (360 degrees by definition), which is why these "law of nature" ratios exist. The law of nature is basically "circles exist".

However, the basic principles of using trigonometric functions to find efficient force or angle are the same. Once we know the angle of the rope, we can use trigonometric identities to find the efficient force or angle. For example, if we want to find the minimum force required to drag the box, we can use the sine function to calculate the sine of the angle, and then use the inverse sine function to find the angle that corresponds to the minimum force. Similarly, if we want to find the angle that requires the least amount of work to drag the box, we can use the tangent function to calculate the tangent of the angle, and then use the inverse tangent function to find the angle that corresponds to the least amount of work. The sine function can be used to find the ratio of the opposite side to the hypotenuse of a right triangle. In the case of dragging a parcel box, the opposite side would be the distance between the box and the point where the rope is attached, and the hypotenuse would be the length of the rope. The sine function can then be used to calculate the angle between the rope and the ground.

If sin is opposite side /hypotenuse in a right angled triangle the how can sin have negative values since distance /distance is always positive
@ankit.chaurasia
@ankit.chaurasia 3 жыл бұрын
Your question don't make any sense. Try learning Basic maths it was there in 8th Std. Sin won't have negative values unless you are dealing with negative numbers, which in here case not possible. When you say sin 270 = -1. Here the opposite side's displacement is *assumed* to be negative.
@ankit.chaurasia
@ankit.chaurasia 3 жыл бұрын
When we say something negative. It is always assumed and opposite to actual value. Like i will get -10rs. In English it won't make any sense. But in maths it means you have to give 10rs. Like how people say his companies profit went negative they actually mean that the company is in loss. So at 0:38 for the man's sin angle is positive right now. Because height of tree is + and hypo is +. But if i assume the tree to be inside ground with same height. The angle goes anticlockwise or in other sense the height of tree goes negative. So -opposite/hypo = -sin angle.
