+thehoneyeffect What I think is amazing is that we can see the west African facial features and vestiges of the culture hundreds of years after the forced migration and attempted deculturalization. On top of that, there's still a kind of mixing of cultures, the Spanish language, the guitar, they're still in there. Culturally, we feel something old and something new and some other new stuff like jazz and neosoul. So cool!
