Perfytyroje se cfare ndjejme ne qe jemi nga Dibra! Gjyshja ime edhe ne komunizem kishte pushke te fshehur qe nga lufterat me Serbet. Sa historira kam degjuar prej tyre( te pashkruara), qe nga lufta e Skenderbeut ne fushe Bulqize,ku zalli(lumi) i Bulqizes u kthye i kuq per nje muaj nga gjaku i rrjedhur, e nga inkursionet serbe ne Rec e Dardhe, ku grate, femijet arratiseshin ne male per te mos u therur te gjalle prej tyre. Kur ktheheshin gjenin cdo gje te shkrumbuar e bagetine te therur. Ka vuajtur populli shqiptar,e sidomos Dibra qe ka qene gjithmone pararoje e te gjitha pushtimeve. Mamaja ime eshte nga Bulqiza e babai nga Reci( Zalldardha). Kjo kenge eshte kenduar ne shtepite tona perpara ketyre djemve, por nje bravo te madhe ketyre kengetareve qe e kane qare kete kenge!

I will do a full translation, not only that but background of this song. I am qualified historian in the studies of this region for many years. i used to write in Albasoul forum long ago. first is here full Albanian text of the song in the next posting below In Albania the Rhapsodic singers exist. they are similar as in times of homer, they use words to sing history. similar like Iliad of Homer which was originally sung, then many years later written down. similar also to the Viking sagas which were sung then many years later written. this tradition is very old. Albanian customs pre-date Christianity and Islam, but later got colored by both religions. The Rhapsodic tradition persists in modern times they still sing about the heroes who even though modern, through music they join the old heroes, so a continuum of the tradition is maintained. Mostly songs are about epic battles. Albania has a long and violent history of wars. Contrary to popular belief of the Greeks and Slavs we were not servants of the Turks. In fact Albanians fought Turks much more then Greeks or Serbs. This song is about one of those battles, a very real battle, which has now become a part of the legend, thanks to the words of the Rhapsodic singers. this battle reminds me of the war of Thermopylae by the brave Spartans against the Persians. A very similar war fought by few against many, using the mountain terrain to the advantage of the defenders. for more read the Albanian nobel prize nominated writer Ismail Kadare, the book called "The file on H" (Dosia H) he explains beautifully the homeric rhapsodoc tradition in North Albania. Hajredin Pasha (turkish general) is coming to Radike(a). he is asking where are the mountains of Diber (north easternern city and province of Albania known for extremely mountain terrain, half of the territory is left outside albania by the great powers of europe in 1912, is now in macedonia. @Mert Kocabaş Not necessarily true. Turkey had an agreement with Serbia and Greece to remove Albanians from both those lands while the above mentioned countries would pay Turkey for ethnic cleansing. Thank God they didn't finish that agreement although about 3 to 5 million Albanians are today a minority in Turkey and unfortunately contrary to the Armenian minority Albanians have no minority rights.
