Sinulog is about dance ,music and theme! Well, they deserve to win! Theme: conversion which is very relevant to Faith, they worn red or ruby color to fit for the ruby year of Sinulog 40 years! Music: It was very beautiful the beat and sound gives you theaterical and musical experience! Dance: clean, finnesse ,syncronized and they dance with grace! Hindi po Yan vip Nasa concepto Yan kombakit naging champion sila, simple Lang yong mensahi Nila base po sa akong nakita at naramdaman..Una sumasayaw sila sa hilig nating sayaw. dumating ang Santo ninyo naging devoted na sila nagpa pasalamat habang sumasayaw. In reality, ang dami nang mag trip pagdating sa sayaw mapabata man o matanda yong iba nga may video pa trending pa samantalang yong pag hawak nang candila habang sumasayaw nang sinug ikakahiya pa.

I’m a big fan of Carcar pero this year, Sinanduloy jud ang ni standout. Mas relatable ilang concept. Nitan-aw ko pag awarding murag maomao rajud ug production style ang Panglao, Talisay, ug Carcar. Then wala pud nila nalampasan ilang performance last year so taas ang expectations sa mga taw. If last year tingali nga performance sa carcar vs this year sa Sinanduloy kay daug ang Carcar...

Funny how the others over reacted to Sinanduloy. Ma champion kaha na sila kung dili pa sila deserving? Now, let's say gamay ra silag props, well, props doesn't matter. Pang bulak2 ranang props for me. The most important is on how they performed on stage and the most important is that they gave their best not just for the competition but for their love and devotion for Sr. Sto Niño. Sa mga wala pa naak move on diha, pag move on na mo, wa rabay tambal nang ka suyaon. 😊

Sinanduloy is our all time favorite contingent since then. Undeniably, their dance are perfectly graceful and we'll executed. But in the Grand Parade, I must say the stage presence was a bit of plain. I don't mean it's boring but the ‘wow factor’ is minimized that would somehow vouched for the performance of Carcar city. Tua ko sa abellana watching LIVE during the grand parade and during the repeat performance. Yes, fan ko sa Sinanduloy since college days pa (late 90's) up to now and most of my relatives are from Tangub so naa koy soft spot sa Sinanduloy/ Tangub itandi sa Talisay and Carcar. Pero this time walay pabor-pabor mas nindot ang performance sa Carcar. Pls. ayaw e rason nga 5% ra ang props sa criteria (mostly sa comment) kay sa tinuod naay gihapon impact ang mga props sa totality sa dance. Karon, nalipay ko ni daug ang akong Manok (Sinanduloy) pero sa tinuod lang naguol ko kay mas deserving gyud ang Carcar mo daug. Gibasihan nako ang live performances sa duha ug sa Social media platform ie KZbin. Wa ko ma strong ha. In my observation murag lagi ug naay pabor2x. I'm sorry sa term gigamit nako. Well it's ur opinion and it doesn't matter because Tangub was chosen by the judges as the champion that year. May Makita ang jud ges na hindi MO na kita. Remember that judges are also festival trainers, cocio cultural head in their respective places and have trained festivals and dance Troupe's for national and international performances and completions. Basin nadala raka sa over all production Kay nindot because of the massive props. And as judge also in local competitions, ang score Ana Isa ra ka column butangan either 5 or 10 percent sa over all ra na. Meaning naa PA 90 percent na lantawon sa uban aspect sa entire performance.

Sinanduloy is popular for their fast-paced execution, especially on their signature candle whipping. As early as 2005, SCT has been using their own innovated basics, and mastered its own style over the years. Proven effective, this mastery has brought them 13 championships to date. Meanwhile, Carcar is known for experimentation on concepts and innovation on their slow-but-smooth dance steps. Since 2012, they showed Sinulog fans a consistent upgrade on their performances. Constantly compared to SCT but Carcar is obviously establishing their own identity as well. The use of leaves, for example, is already a manifestation that Carcar is not a Sinanduloy wanna-be. Sinanduloy and Carcar have both unique styles. But they follow the same basic steps SB category has set. So in which part cloning comes in?

@@kayeausten3290 yes sir. saw it for many times. they pioneered candles-leaves switching, but as per observation, Carcar did not copy the technique, instead, they veered from the norm and used plain leaves for their 2019 performance (those leaves were in fact, itchy). my favorite sinanduloy performance was in 2005 and 2011. no contingent can replicate that. my favorite carcar performance was in 2013 and 2019. tough concepts with maria clara taste.
