Oh God how I miss my skating days and the couples’ skate. Skated from 1966 through 1976 every Friday and Saturday night - such a therapeutic, relaxing feeling on that floor skating to songs like this. Ankles weren’t strong enough for ice skates.

A few years ago I was telling a friend that it would be great to see a synchronized skating performance in the huge subway concourse under Broad Street ("Avenue of the Arts) in Philadelphia, thinking it would be perfect for our Fringe Festival. Watching this is like seeing a dream come to life.Though my vision was far less ambitious, mostly weaving back and forth between the steel columns along the concourse.

She skated at the beginning and then took a bow in the end because she is still part of the team! Her presence during practice was probably very useful, she deserves to be applauded like all her teammates.

Ciao! In Italia ci sono molte squadre davvero forti, è un peccato che neanche nel nostro paese si senta parlare di questo sport. Riguardo alla persona che entra in pista: è una riserva. In una squadra di sincronizzato ce ne possono essere al massimo 4. Il suo ruolo è importantissimo perché, anche se in questa esibizione non partecipa alla coreografia, potrebbe sempre servire per occupare il posto di qualcuno (per infortuni, imprevisti, qualunque cosa). In sostanza, è parte integrante della squadra, come tale si è sempre allenata con gli altri membri ed entra in pista per presentarsi e prendere applausi come tutte le altre!
