When it comes to Folk literature, the name of Dr Nabi bux Khan Baloch comes first. He worked tirelessly to collect, compile and preserve it. Our coming generations will be indebted to Dr sb for this treasure of folk literature. Similarly, Mam Samina Kanwal a supremely talented lady Singer also plays pivotal role in popularizing and spreading folk songs which commonly known as Lado or Sehra not only in Sindh but throughout globe . She has sung nearly 400 folk songs in her melodious voice that make her first Sindhi singer to do so. She deserves huge applause, acknowledgement, recognition and rewards for her services to Sindhi folk literature. I would humbly request Culture department of Sindh to recognize and support Mam Samina Kanwal.
