Sindhi Sarangi Instrumental by Asin Khan Langa, Barnawa Jageer, Barmer

Asin Khan Langa is one of the young talents of Langa music accomplished
in playing of Sarangi. Langas are hereditary community of professional musicians of Western
Rajasthan, living mostly in Barmer and Jodhpur district. This twenty-nine year old musician is
also known for his soulful voice. He started his training at the age of eight in his village of
Barnawa Jageer in Barmer, considered to be the Mecca of Langa music. He has reached new
heights in his musical journey; visiting countless countries and collaborating with the likes of
world renowned musicians namely Pt. Viswamohan Bhat, Ustad Sultan Khan, Kavita
Krishnamurti, Shankar Mahadevan and Kaushiki Chakraborty. He has taken a keen interest in
training the next generation on playing of Sarangi.
