The rose paneer is golap jam fruit available in select places in Kolkata. The fruit vendor in gariahaat sells these. They used to sit near the gariahaat bancharam store.

This is called golap jaam in bangla. We had a tree of this delicious rose scented fruit in our backyard when we were growing up. It's really hard to find this fruit in WB nowadays. Never thought it'd be so expensive and we had a bounty of fruits when in season.
