"Sing It! Spirit of Envy!" is a song piece about greed and envy, solo pursuits and communal contentment. Made anew with a pop-up choir of local singers wherever it travels, it puts two joyfully waggling fingers up to glib, economic politco-bull-speak. While in Ann Arbor this past February in performances of Rachel Mars's Our Carnal Hearts, Louise Mothersole led singers from the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance's "Heightened Language" class in an impromptu performance at the Ross School of Business.
