Sing to Me | Hermitcraft Animatic (Read Desc.)

Spare the criticism lol, but it's about time I uploaded another animatic and this one is actually one of six (I believe anyways) animatics regarding my wonderful evil hermit, Boogeydubs.
Inspired by the jungle events in season 5, fluffy-papaya (on Tumblr) and I both helped in creating an evil hermit for Bdubs. Rather than spouting off curses about taxes, this fellow spends his time terrorizing his counterpart through taunting and nightmares. The less sleep, the better.
Additionally, more fear encourages physical and mental changes seen at the end of the video. In this animatic, I suppose we'll call it the "breaking point" after a few years of torment that I'll show in the later animatics.

absolutly love the way the elements of the game and the hermits own skins and personalities are incorporated into this, like grians parrot wings while the others have kinda more hooked bat wings and docs are mechanical, the difference between doc and xisuma, whos skins are both pretty distinct characters, versus bdubs and impulse who are kinda just guys in t shirts, yet they all look so good and so much like themselves its amazing. then add that to how the heads are a mask, the inventory and crafting menu as some kinda hologram, the way the swords and grians wings materialize, how the chat is their phones, then add that to the story and the heartbreak as we see him finally snap and all his friends have to take him down, i dont even know what happened in season 5, but im just so obsessed with this ive watched it far too many times argh EDIT: JUST REALIZED WATCHING IT AGAIN THAT XISUMA'S WINGS ARE BEE WINGS I REPEAT, THE DETAIL, THE CONSIDERATION, THE DESIGN, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ARGH, I AM IN AWE

THIS IS INCREDIBLE Let's be real, your art is always beautiful, but this is amazing! The song choice is just perfect and the story compliments all of it so well. I feel like it's not like Boogeydubs isn't just doing it specifically *to* cause pain to bdubs, though that is a perk, but also because if Bdubs isn't sleep, there's a good chance the server will be left to dark much more often, thus causing issues for everyone else. Bdubs is my favorite hermit bc he's just that wholesome but a good dose of angst can and will expand my love for his content.

This is so cool!! Ok ok, so I really love the strong storytelling poses at 1:00 and 1:43 for example. Anatomy is strong throughout the whole animatic, which is very good. Also! The facial expressions are very prominent which really portray the story, like at 1:58 and 2:57. I am in love with how your designed the Hermits and also the way you draw wings is incredible! I can’t express how awesome and dramatic you manage to make the frames, and how much emotion you capture in them! And...okay, hear me out. Boogeydubs reminds me of Remus from Sanders Side. I don’t know why, it might be because of the bright green color or the way he keeps Bdubs up at night as Remus does to Thomas, but like...😳 Anyways, your animatics and art continue to blow me away. Keep up the incredible work and remember to eat, drink (water ofc), and sleep and all that healthy stuff. :DD

I watched this video about five times before realizing that the hermit that I couldn’t figure out the identity of was Doc, even though my own design for him is very similar. I just kept looking at him like, “who has horns?” Even though I myself give him horns when I draw him, though the horns I draw are different. But I love how you draw everyone, besides my derp moment with Doc I can tell who everyone is, their designs are very distinct

2:25 - 2:32 is probably my favorite moment, just because right after Bdubs turns dark and fight Scar and Grian... he just looks at them... with such an emotionless face. No goofy grin, or even anger or anything, which is so far removed from Bdubs’ usual way of being, it just feels... wrong. Wrong in just the right way. Idk if this is just me though XD So I’ll just say, this animatic is nothing short of amazing! And the whole concept of boogeydubs i hadn’t heard of before watching this (rather new to the whole hermit fandom ngl), but this is definitely my favorite dark version of a hermit I’ve come across. It just works so fantastically well. Now I’ll admit I don’t know the concept of this whole thing that well, but I wanted to say all of this at least. Amazing animatic! Super fun to watch ☺️

This might just be one of the best animatics I've seen. Not many times have I watched an animatic and the frames are perfect with the audio! The "crashes" in the audio are the same with the characters either falling or have some sort of huge moment, resulting in said crash. I'm really impressed.
