Keep that motivation up, it's worth it! Just a note though: As amazingly awesome this is, you can already get an amazing flight experience with a really good business class. I've flown Emirates business class, it's amazing already and this is not that much of an upgrade except everything is even fancier but there isn't anything here that I would say I really missed in Business. Even then it's not worth the money for the flight itself, it's just a unique experience. Cheers and always board last :)

only sarina i do hope you understand that the majority of the people who fly first class never paid for the ticket themselves and in fact are fully paid for by their company. No one in the right mind will spend that much on a flight. Airlines dare to charge this much is because they are aware of this.

Thank you Eddie. Singapore is my favorite Airline and they had the best food to my taste, although I have to fly to Los Angels or New York from Texas to catch it. I enjoyed the food even on premium economy unless I am on business when my company would pay for business class.

I remember flying from Bali to Frankfurt by SQ, change flight in Changi. This was my first business trip experience. I was truly amazed by how the SQ had managed my tickets n boarding passes in one shot. When arrived in Changi, the airport was absolutely stupid proof. The directions, signage was so clear, you dont need to ask. Ooh but one thing though, when I got to my seat on B747 direct flight to FRA, there was a small bag on my seat. I opened it ,it was underwear of the Stewardes. She apologize , smiled n took her stuff away.

I haven't flown this route, but our family flew in an upgraded business class flight from Paris (Air France, I think) where we had similar personal space and seats that folded flat into a bed--just without the privacy doors. Being able to actually sleep on that long flight was sooooo nice. I didn't care about the upgraded food service, toiletry bags, etc. I was just so happy to be able to sleep the majority of the flight away. I don't enjoy being cooped up in a plane over miles and miles of ocean. Creeps me out, so that experience was a splurge that was very much appreciated. Hope I can do it again someday! :)

Flying Singapore Airlines is already an experience. Don't for one minute think that economy class is bad. It's bad on smaller aircraft (and the majority of all American aircraft since they don't believe in upgrading to the new millennium), but in the A380, I had the most pleasant sleep in economy going from L.A. to Tokyo.

Excellent point there Jenny. I remember flying Cathay first class in 1998 on the 747. It is very different to what it is now. Back in the days, first class was 2-2 and it went 180 degrees to a flat seat. No privacy dividers, no on-demand IFE, no WiFi, no noise-cancelling headsets, etc etc etc. It will be interesting to see in 20 years how things will be :)

SIA is awesome, even in economy. The legroom there is above industry standard, and the quality of the economy class food is pretty good! Sad that they are struggling at the moment given the competition from low-cost carriers, Middle Eastern airlines and the Chinese airlines :(

It all depends on how you go down, e.g., Asiana flight 214 on July 6, 2013, during its final approach to SFO (San Francisco International Airport) from ICN (Incheon, South Korea) accidentally experienced a tail strike as their Boeing 777 hit the sea wall at the start of the runway, resulting in the entire tail section detaching, while ejecting the last several row of passengers onto the runway, so no, sitting in the back is no guarantee of anything. (Three died during that accident.)

That's a very good question Emily. The release of videos monthly must give the impression that I jet-set around the world using either deep pockets of cash or sponsorship by the airlines ;) The answer is I would LOVE the airlines to hire me to review their products, but sadly no such deal has taken place...yet (wink wink, com'n Qantas give me free flights!). In fact the flights have been taken over the past 1-2 years and I'm slowly getting around to doing the videos - the videos take 2-4 weeks to do each. The trips are a mixture of personal and work-related trips. I also have a stash of points. So all in all, I don't break my budget and yes the boss does pay for some trips - win-win I guess :) Anyways, glad you enjoy my channel and my videos. Hope this answers some of your burning questions! :) FYI, I'm releasing the new QF A330 Business Suites in the upcoming month (Brisbane-Hong Kong). Stay tuned!

Sometimes it's nice to have a little snippet of the product on a medium haul flight, but I agreed that the best value is on a long flight. You should definitely visit Japan and Singapore. If you do Singapore, make sure you visit Malaysia and Thailand!

The GoPro that I attach to my backpack is obviously a bit shaky due to me walking. Very little I can do about that...I'll try to walk more stable next time :p I'll see if I can get a ticket on the new F class from Sydney...stay tuned!

Great video Eddie, I enjoyed my experience last time using the Singapore Airline lounge, and their "restaurant" should be the most exclusive among all other airlines.

Thanks David for your comments. The a la carte menu is nice, but the lounge could be so much more IMO. Compare it to the Qantas First class lounge in Sydney or the Etihad First class lounge in Abu Dhabi - massage/spa, barber, gym, kids room, library, bar, etc etc

It’s on my bucket list to fly like this just once. I’ve flown years ago on 1st class but it was a last minute upgrade on a flight less that 2 hours. I remember being served a decent sandwich. It was a domestic US flight tho nothing at all like this

You really need to try an international first class flight to get the real experience. You can fly coach to Asia then sample int'l first class on a short hop, like HKG-SIN or HKG-TPE, without spending a ridiculous amount of money.

This sadly feels like a dream to me. We have tried so many times to get upgraded but alas- always only economy for us. Hopefully one day we will also get to experience flying with a bed. That would be awesome!

Next time try for premium economy. Higher chance of upgrade to business, and if you don't the seat is still much better than regular economy!
