Due to inflation chicken rice prices generally have gone up to at least $4 dollars for the very basic regular option.

Attractions in sg other than typically where ur recommend to go to - old turf club in bukit timah - the malls in bukit timah and old railway station mall - jurong sky view tower - Cheval Cafe Bar Bistro if ur interested in horses - Dempsey - kfc and macdonalds at kallang looks like ur in the usa in terms of how the parking lots look like - Sin Aik Provision shop theres a hawker uncle selling charcoal kaya toast bloody fantastic like legit if i live nearby i would go there everyday for breakfast - rasa Istimewa Woodlands Waterfront restaurant can see jb ( Malaysia ) fom there - punggol food containers - Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve ( theres some farms there too)

Foods I recommend! 1. Katong Roxy square hawker / wanton mee and crispy noodles 2. Holland Village XO Fish Head Bee Hoon Restaurant at Chinatown 3. Choa chu Kang fish farm 4. Punggol container 5. Janggut Laksa 6. Lai huat seafood at siglap 7. Sin Aik Provision Store theres a uncle selling charcoal kaya toast legit the cheapest and the best out can never compare to ya kuan or fun toast at all one of the 8. Hua Yu Wee Seafood Restaurant 9. Seng Hiang Bak Chor Mee (#01-08) 10. Rasa Istimewa Woodlands Waterfront the views are really really pretty and can see Malaysia

Mostly we will put the chilli sauce on the chicken and rice togther to eat in 1 spoonful. 👍 Some portion when they chopped doesn't have bones. Some seller will be able to debone for u too if u asked them to do so. ✌️ But some not so good skill seller will chopped with the bones and will cause small bones in the rice which I hate 😅

even if famous one is considered ex sia... if expensive chicken rice is approx $6 per plate that shld only be max $35 for 5 plates inc the vege... $42 is a fking rip off unless they ordered extra meat for all the plates but doesnt seem like it..

I think from the bones they might have been given the more expensive parts of the chicken which may cost more than 5 dollars per plate. The thighs are generally more expensive at all chicken rice stalls as it is the preferred cut, it's a known fact for all locals.

Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice at Maxwell, the stall they tried the chicken rice from, is severely overrated. There are far, far, FAR better chicken rice to be found elsewhere. 😅

@@KeoNz sorry to burst your bubble but michelin aint everything. You can get a michelin but still fall in standard. Comparing a local vs a tv british chef who doesnt have much experience prepping said dish isnt helping your case either. Any run of the mill (which tian tian is) chicken rice stall can grab a win over gordan ramsay, especially when the ones casting votes are locals. I would even argue one of the reasons why its so overrated now is their past win over gordan ramsay. Do ppl not think through what they write these days? Or were you just too salty because I called you out for being illogical? No reason to be this butthurt unless u own part of tian tian or work for them

The run of the mill chili crab sellers can't win against a tv british chef by your logic? Yeah and I would argue that there is not need to have so much hostility against a famed local shop unless you're their direct competitor? 😂 Salty over your failed chicken rice stall I see? Nothing you say or being a keyboard warrior in KZbin is gonna impact Tian Tian in anyway though. People will still prefer and go there for chicken rice.
