What do you think of all the requirements to get into Singapore?

Oh man, the Octavius scenes really got me. I’m planning my own around the world trip and am not looking forward to saying goodbye to my kitties (they will be okay but it’s so hard). Saying bye to family too (of course), but the kitty scenes especially hit home 😭

Welcome to Singapore!! You can now eat in groups of five (non-related/non-family members). Please do try the Masala Thosai at Komala Villas (Little India), the special soy sauce chicken at Hai-kee (Chinatown Point) and the food at Hong Lim Market (near Chinatown) - the sliced fish bittergourd soup (2nd floor of hawker centre) is very good, so is the crawfish horfun/flat nooodles just behind it, and lots more. Be prepared to walk more to burn off the calories!

@LisaAndJosh2 жыл бұрын
it's definitely been working! I think it also has a side effect of keeping tourism down as well, but that's also probably what they're trying to do - not overwhelm the brand new system

Just did VTL last week and it was very easy! Singapore staff was super friendly at check in and Singapore immigration didn't ask for anything at all. Landed at 9pm, went to the hotel to sleep and got my results at 2am

Awesome! So happy to hear that it was easy. Is it true that the new rules involve testing every day for 7 days in a row?

Kinda curious, and feel free to not answer if you don't want to, but did you guys get your booster shot when you went back to the States? I'm starting to get worried that not having the booster will be a detriment to travel soon, and wondering if I should fly home to get it, and then fly onward somewhere.
@LisaAndJosh2 жыл бұрын
based on what we are seeing, getting a booster is going to be required for entry into SEA quite soon. it would be a good idea to start looking around to see where you can get it where you are. some larger cities are offering boosters to travelers.

ooo, I think you do still have to do some paperwork to do, and you definitely need a covid test within 48 hours to transit. here's the link if that helps, also another link to the AA sherpa site that breaks it down a bit better - safetravel.ica.gov.sg/vtl/requirements-and-process apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions
