Singapore MRT Ride | Thomson East Coast Line Stage 3 | Gardens by the Bay MRT to Orchard Road
The Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) will bring residents in the east and along the North-South Corridor closer to a train station and hence giving them faster access to the city.
Commuters will enjoy a 35-minute journey from Woodlands South to Orchard on the TEL, compared to a 50-minute journey by bus and MRT today.
Trains on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) will arrive at stations every six minutes during off-peak hours when the third stage of the rail line opens for passenger service on Nov 13.
This is down from the current interval of nine minutes.
Look forward to more route options with eight interchanges that connect to all the major lines: the East-West Line (EWL), North-South Line (NSL), North East Line (NEL), Circle Line (CCL), Downtown Line (DTL) and the Cross Island Line (CRL). When fully completed, the line will bring convenience to about 1 million commuters daily and relieve crowding on the East-West and North-South Lines.

at least we can see how the shelved provisional MRT station like Marina South looks like as in 11:11. that provisional station can be used as an emergency escape route for the time being, just like the 2 Bandar Malaysia stations along the new Putrajaya MRT Line in KL. Gardens by the Bay station looks beautiful with the hanging plants along the escalator entrance and it serves as an alternative to the Bayfront station, especially those coming from the north like Woodlands as well as Orchard and Outram. perhaps, you can make another one from Orchard to Napier in order to see the access to the Tanglin Gate at the Botanic Gardens followed by Stevens including the interchangeing access to the Downtown Line.
