Also one thing u didnt know about. The old green line trains had 13 beeps after doors closing. It was changed to 10. The newer lines trains have 8 beeps as in the end of the recording

It varies for every line; north-south and east-west lines have 11, north-east has 26 and so on. Only the newest line has 7 beeps

one- north is named this way as it is situated within the one-north development which spans from AYE and all the way to the estate near Holland Village. It's all small letters and a hyphen due to the branding requirements by JTC.

The named dakota is used for the military version of the douglas dc-3 called the C-47. It was named the skytrain by the U.S but when the royal air force, the british, use it they called it dakota.

The Hindi term ghat passed into English usage during the British occupation of India, and was later anglicised to ghaut" (Wikipedia, 2020).

Actually it is more common (around me at least) to refer to/ name a locality after it’s nearest MRT station, than the other way round. ie. Even if LTA or whoever gives a completely random name to a MRT station, ppl will start referring to the immediate surroundings by that name ie. I refer to the HC/NY/NJC area as TKK now

Station names changed to reflect locations? So explain to me how St. Andrews became City Hall when the station is at St Andrew's and not at City Hall? You can't even see the old City Hall when you emerge from the station but St Andrew's would be in your face (if it wasn't for the big trees hiding most of it).

It's a future station (that currently is just a shell station). It is named Hume and is located at the junction of Upper Bukit Timah Road and Hume Avenue. It is named after Hume Avenue and the condominium estate situated there. It is expected to open in 2025.
