In the end, I won’t be surprised if it is converted to an outstabling platform for peak hour launching. 😅

I'm actually curious why the upcoming CCL Prince Edward Road station also has 4 platforms. No idea what their plans are for them.

LTA is planning to make an extension to Tuas pier with the Tuas south MRT extension so they can make use the hidden platform. LTA is still planning; the project may not be confirmed. but the TEL to Changi airport is confirmed and will start building next year. With no electricity on platforms is unlikely that they will be the Tuas south extension. LTA said this would be a expensive project as it will connect the pier and expenses may be high. There are no electric cables so probably again unlikely.

tbh tuas extension shouldn’t be a thing. the ridership is very low on those stations
@PrograError15 күн бұрын
@@howsweetishyein IMO it could have been a plan for an alternate ped crossing into Malaysia instead of going up to woodlands north and jam it up more, plus there's that Iskandar Malaysia and the formerly planned SG-KL HSR in that area… End of day, who knows... all the details would be in the LTA archives under OSA anyways...

Tuas is a dusty, heavy industrial region. 😢

I seen blueprint alot of lines in planning. What u see is only a margin thats already out.

Everything's in the URA master plan, lah. But none is really in concrete, just like HSR... it's all just a _plan _

Can you pin this comment? Because when you look at Google Earth at Tuas Crescent station, you will see one viaduct on each side of the existing viaduct. So this may be connected to the Tuas South extension as at Tuas West Road station, it turns to the left and ends halfway further down the road.
@RailFilmmakingSG11 күн бұрын
I can see your theory why the Tuas South extension may follow Tuas West Road, but sorry man, this does not tally with what we saw in the 2008 LT Masterplan. Also if that was true, Tuas Crescent would also have a similar configuration as Gul Circle. So unless there's more solid official info from LTA about the future plans for Tuas South, this is all the info we have for now. Also we do not pin comments unless it's imperative factual information that we need to update the video with.

The unused platforms at Gul Circle MRT will be converted to CRL if it goes to plan.

This looks very familiar... wasn't there a similar video done by a different channel?

This is a reissue of the one originally uploaded to our original En Garde Post channel. To accommodate our reorganisation of our YT content strategy, the old episodes and related content are slowly being reuploaded here as well as to prepare for the release of the final episodes on this new channel

Maybe LRT, BRT?

BRT impossible mate, it's metro sized viaduct...

1:04 "how the line would have looked like" is incorrect English. You can say "how the line would have looked" or "what the line would have looked like". 'How' means 'what xyz is like', so you cannot have 'how xyz is like"!

Well Singaporeans are often bilingual so you're going to get that from time to time.

@@maccomplex Well, being bilingual does not excuse incorrect grammar. I know many communities that are multilingual, and a country that prides itself on a high level of education can certainly do better
