Singapore White Bellied Sea Eagles - Nest Building - 13 Dec 2024

Our eagle parents have started building the nest again! They are preparing for the next breeding season and more seaglets.
Remember that this special pair dismantles the nest in order to get their seaglets to be independent - we don't know of any other white bellied sea eagle parents that does that.
The nest is also less blocked from view, because a large branch broke off from the tree & fell to the ground on October 14. While it's better viewing for us, it also presents a potential safety hazard for anyone underneath the tree. Hopefully, this doesn't lead to calls for the authorities to cut down the tree.
According to Birder T, the parents didn't leave the nest tree in July after the seaglets left. They stayed there the whole time.
