Will the paint last like the original paint did?
@sailingtessbesssewfarnorth1746 Жыл бұрын
Well that will depend how it’s looked after. It’s auto paint, so it’s pretty tough.

Great job ,love it. Why filler primer and not auto body putty? Where did you bought the filler primer? Why using two primers? This video definitely came at the right time for me. I need to choose primers and paint that isn't an easy step to do. Thanks for sharing your video.

Filler primer is a little thicker it fills the small deviations in the metal surface, the second primer is a flat primer, but was mainly for colour under the blue, I buy paints from the same manufacturer and same product line if I can, to ensure no reaction, but always do a test piece just in case.

Where do you get your water decals, and are they affordable? I don’t feel like spending $20-$70 when the machine I’m restoring only costs $15. I’m wondering if there’s a less expensive route. Great video by the way, and thank you for sharing so much of your process ! ❤️

No way! I would not have guessed temporary tattoos, but that is a brilliant idea!

Brilliant! Tell me, was there anything special about the paint products? I mean are they for automotive use, for example.Or just metal paints, undercoat etc?

Сколько абразивной пыли попало внутрь машины при очистке? Этот абразив будет потом изнашивать места вращения валов и подшипников.

Not so Much that I couldn’t remove it, but you are of course correct, it is important to clean out all foreign objects and debris.

Are they originally painted or shelacked ?
@sailingtessbesssewfarnorth1746 Жыл бұрын
They are coated with a black paint called Japaning, then coated with shellac.
@jollyroger7624 Жыл бұрын
@@sailingtessbesssewfarnorth1746 But isn't japaning simply black shellac? I'm wondering how safe it is to use solvent based paints over shellac?

Кстати этот цвет не самый полезный для глаз
@sailingtessbesssewfarnorth1746 Жыл бұрын
I did not use this colour for your eyes. It was for the eyes of the person that would like it. You can chose your colour when I do a machine for you, but there is a little extra cost for that.
