This video tells me how to turn a dial to utilize a stitch, and run the machine. But it doesn't tell you how to know WHICH stitch to select. It's not stitch selection. It's how to run the machine. I would suspect that most users will use construction stitches far more than decorative stitches. Wouldn't it be helpful to have a clear guide to them? Is that available? I've already seen the page that has a small picture of each stitch. Clicking through all of them to find which ones might be stitches to be used for knit fabrics was not helpful. It was more a suggestion of projects rather than how to choose which stitch is appropriate for the fabric I'm using.

What is the best type of fabric for sewing on this machine?

This machine will handle most fabrics. It's not meant for super-heavy weight fabrics but a jeans hem is totally doable!
