Trying a buttonhole for the first time and the fabric doesn't want to move, it just stays in one spot when I start stitching and jams almost instantly. I believe I have all the settings properly adjusted. It will straight stitch fine, but jams when I try a buttonhole.

Hi! I would love to help you with this. Sorry it is late...but all you have to do is make sure it clicks once you bring it all of the way down! Mine did the same but i figured it out! Make sure you push in down until it can’t anymore! Hope it helps ❤️

Similar experience. I had to push the lever up and then brought it down until I heard a click. Then it worked perfectly. I did my first buttonhole (ever). I was happy.

@@ellieschwartzman1310 that helped me! Thank you! I was only bringing it down gently until it stopped. I didn’t realize there was one last little tug
