Singer Model 27 First Stitches

My new-to-me antique Singer Model 27 treadle machine has been oiled and cleaned. This is my first attempt to use it. This machine was made in 1898 and had been sitting in a quilting shop as decor for some time before coming to me. I do not know the last time it was used.

Put a piece of white paper behind the needle eye and you will be able to thread that needle with no problem. The white paper reflects the light back at the needle eye. It’s like having a little light back there. Try it

Why didn’t you disengage the clutch on the machine before winding that bobbin ? No matter how the machine is powered it’s the same stop the needle action always.

Many buy a needle threader they cost 50 cents maybe

Maybe you should try doing a little research on the machine before doing a video
