Hyunsik, the one playing the piano, wrote & composed this song. Yes, this song is not necessarily a girlfriend, it can be a friend, a family member, as you said a pet, someone dear or a loved one..BTOB always makes songs about simple things or situations that anyone can relate to and understand. Their songs are the kind that affect the listeners, their emotions can be felt in the song and the way they sing it expresses the feelings so well and anyone can comprehend regardless of the language barrier. BTOB stays true to their motto: "We don't sell albums..we sell emotions." And that's how they are and they are known for these emotional ballads and healing songs. Yes the song is not necessarily about losing a lover rather its about losing someone or something you treasure a lot. Like a member of the family, friend, and like you say a dog. This song btw, won 7 times during the promotion and charted no. 1 in various music charts. BTOB has this motto to sell emotions not albums.

Hyunsik has said more than once that he tries to write songs that Melody can sing along with. I've only been a Melody since 2021 so I recently realized after watching Sungjae's and Changsub's solo comebacks and fan chant videos that most of parts that they don't sing are Melody's parts. I can't wait to go to one of their concerts and sing with them! I've also found that, for many of his ballads, the overall intent of Hyunsik's lyrics are hopeful about the future. They touch on relatable topics with a sense of hope, while their voices and raps bring out the emotion. Thanks for coming back to BTOB. I hope you'll also react to the "It's Okay" and "Way Back Home" MVs with lyrics. Even though the group is way more than these songs, these are core to who they are as a group.
