For me they are equally both amazing, the only difference is that they are from different generations. And Morisette just seems to appear more popular because of social media advantage of today and she's young. Regine was my favorite singer when I was young. Yeah, I totally agree! This kind of music should be brought back. It's been a long time since any western song has capture my attention-I mean, it's just not the same like before; like when you listen to a music for the first time, it get stuck in your mind. (Probably because it's not melodic) I mean not only the ballad songs-like rock songs from before (example: in the end by Linkin Park, the reason by Hoobastank, etc.). It's melodic. Even if you don't know the lyrics, you can easily follow/guess where the next notes will go. I love listening to different genres (and in different language even though I don't get what the singer is saying haha) as long as it's melodic, that's really fun to listen to.

Hey, I'm new here. I appreciate your thoughts about those two great singers. Morissette's whistle is freaking amazing and effortless high notes of Regine is just wow. Regine has 30+ years of experience in the music industry, 48 years old and still slaying 5th octave notes(please watch Regine's rehearsal of Oh Holy Night or even the broadcasted live performance where she hit an A5 at the end😊 ).
