Shen Yun Performing Arts performed at the Corum in Montpellier, France, for five days in April. Audiences shared their amazement as they left the theater.
Thibaut Jauffret, an attorney at the International Office MOURANT, said: “It was very joyful and colorful, with a touch of childhood in it, as well as a discovery of China and its traditions. I found everything in the show pleasing.”
“It’s a beautiful show. Very, very beautiful show, and it gives us joy,” said Sister Brigitte, a nun from the Little Sisters of the Poor. “To have contact with this culture, this wisdom, this profound beauty, this gentleness, and at the same time this inner strength.”
Featuring a live orchestra that blends traditional Chinese and Western instruments, along with impressive vocal performances, Shen Yun’s music was praised for its delicate and refreshing sound.
“It’s really professional work, yes, but very delicate. It’s very beautiful,” said Josette Pedrero, a singer. “These sounds are not the kind we’re used to listening to. So, for sure, it’s a pleasure to open our ears a little.”
