Not sure if someone in chat mentioned it but it’s one of my favorite parts of the album. The verses of Better Than Words are a bunch of other well known song titles combined together, for example these are all the songs that make up verse 1… Better Than Words- One Direction More Than A Feeling- Boston Crazy In Love- Beyoncé Dancing On The Ceiling- Lionel Richie Everytime We Touch- Cascada I’m All Shook Up- Elvis Presley You Make Me Wanna- Usher How Deep Is Your Love- The Bee Gees God Only Knows- The Beach Boys Baby- Justin Bieber It was Liam’s idea and I always thought it was so genius!

The boys didn't have control in how much of their voices will be in the album, I think Louis mention in a interview how they record the chores and sometimes in the album the people in charge of production only choose one of two guys and it's a shame because especially in live version you can hear clearly all the voices and especially Louis voice. I love the video.

This album was my lifeblood at the time. Me and my sister had the CD and played it every night, singing along. Except for Little White Lies because my dad would get mad (Southern Baptist, it was "too suggestive") so instead me and my sis would let the first chorus play and scream "with your CHICKEN POT PIE CHICKEN POT PIE" and then immediately cut to the next track, which looking back is fucking hysterical

To me now a days Louis owns " Through the Dark" and " Little Black Dress " in the sense that he gives punk rock vibe into it w/fast tempo if I'm not mistaken just like the other songs of 1D he covers that he gave some flavors into it that the Directioners could not even recognize the song until he utter the lyrics the best example would be " Night Changes" and that's what I like about Louis even though I heard the song a million times there will always be moments that he will change the tempo, lyrics or even the beat just to hype up the atmosphere

Zayn is my singing because I love rnb and he reminds of that genre with his runs, what I like of him most though is he hardly changes his face much singing but is still so good vocally it's really a gift, like Harry and Liam are vocally good too, but you can see their faces move lot in live which is normal, whereas zayn will belt but his face looks like its humming

Story of My Life is what made me sit up & pay attn. I hated 1D when they started out (too long a diatribe on why here), but I remember I exactly when I first heard this, looked it up and was beyond SHOCKED that it was 1D. Realized their voices had matured finally and and they had had voice lessons. Huge difference from What Makes You Beautiful. Then I paid attn… and then they delivered MITAM. Wow. They all could really sing, had learned to write great songs etc.
