If someone heard this song and had never seen or heard Home Free before, they would never believe there are no instruments. They brought it hard with this. How, how, how, to they just get better and better all the time? Those harmonies of Rob and Chance's were as rich and tasty as a Thanksgiving dinner. Tim's bass, wow. Absolutely gorgeous. Austin's lead was spot on perfection. Adam Rupp!! Gees, Louise. He just went next level and tore it up again. He's always bringing new exciting elements to the party. What a cover! Out freaking standing. Thanks for a great reaction.

Around 5:18 you will see Adam Rupp hit that really high synthesizer type of sound. If you will watch him for a little after that, you will also see him hit that amazing low note drop. He was even more amazing than usual in this. I loved it. You can't sit still on this one.

He actually started out as a tenor singing in the group. He didn't start beat boxing till college, self taught. He and his brother Chris Rupp started the group 22 yrs ago.

Adam Rupp did it again. And of course, I knew it had to be Austin or Rob for the lead. ABSOLUTE perfection. What a great Doovie Brothers song

Home Free needs to do more classic rock songs.!!!!

It sounds like Rob is singing lead on the chorus. Austin has the high part and of course, is lead on the verses. Adam Rupp killed the beatboxing as usual.
@epiphany5192 жыл бұрын
I think the high high part is Adam actually. There are times it happens and he's singing not beat boxing. Great reaction as always. Take care all.

I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds.

I'm pretty sure Rob is leading the "Waaa listen to the music" In the background, the higher notes could be anyone, but probably Austin. I love the beginning whining electric guitar sounds. Pretty sure it is Austin doing that also. I'd love love love to see them do this one live!

I believe that was Rob Lundquist in the first place

I thought I heard Rob's unique tone several times up there in the rafters but it was just short of being definitive so I can't say with certainty.

Boy that was good! It was a different take for sure but Austin and Adam killed it! Adam was crazy good. Tim threw in some low notes, just fire. Good reaction Brad!🥰

This is simply excellent again!! 💞 I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung, so great harmonies, bone-feeling bass, But for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal and perfect. He nailed it. The vocal percussion is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is. And I haven't even mentioned his appearance yet. He's so handsome. I do like that he has his hair a bit longer again and then with that bandana on.🥰 Love it❤ Love Home Free💖

This was the song to dance to when it came out in '72. It was easy to get a girl to dance to this, and during the slow part in the middle of the song, everyone would dance in slow motion. Fun song, and the guys did a great remake. Adam Rupp went crazy on this, and Austin was great as lead. Excellent effort from everyone.

The Doobie Brothers had some of the best groove songs ever, and this is one of them (Long Train Runnin is my favorite), and Home Free slayed it. Adam proves once again that he is a freak of nature, and I love the reverb and effects! Absolutely love these guys!

Rob takes the lead during the chorus, & Austin is singing the high harmony. But honestly their voices blend so well together that I don't blame you for mixing them up. It's difficult to distinguish between them sometimes, especially with those locked-in 7th chords in the chorus.

I think that Rob is hitting that high line. As to them updating the song, I think they have found that they receive bitter complaints if they so much as miss one of the easter eggs that the original version contained. I agree with your assessment of Austin's voice. He is so good at what he dose, and his riffs are tastefully, and perfectly executed. He has spectacular control of his voice.

They used the same effects the Doobie Brothers did with the guitars and applied it to the vocals for the recording hard to match with live performances but with today's programmable boards maybe not.
