Baby mori! She and the organizers did the best with what they had. The begining she couldn't hear herself but she powered through it. Besides the ear monitors being lost in a different dimension the sound itself is bouncing off in all directions. I saw her look up to a fan so so the sound is literally coming at her at different times based on the number obstructions such as the angles the architecture and materials modify the sound in all other aspects too. She was young and brave. In all seriousness she is a perfectionist. This scenario would make many people in her shoes either end the performance or try to keep going without regaining composure.

Only few realize how difficult the vocal "gymnastics " in this modified version of Holy Night and they cant appreciate it because its so different from the usual serene song people are used to hearing. I see your point and I like her rendition as well. I couldnt agree more that she is truly gifted with extraordinary vocals. She deserves to be heard by music fans worldwide. If Morissette would sing this in the church on a mass celebration, I bet the priest and the church goers would ask for more Christmas songs....like, forget about the mass for 20 minutes for the sake of listening to Morissette's songs. ok she can belt high, but I think she sang it just to show off she can do power belt, in the process she has driven away all the essence of supposed-to-be a soulful Christmas song, but she has other version though and it is way far better than this desecrated version. sometimes too much of the arrangement spoils the song. as an artist, Morissette could inject a peculiar spin to add a new yet beautiful flavor in this worship song but her interpretation shouldn't depart much from its traditional yet soulful interpretation.
