It's is so haunting, hits you in the heart. Loved it since it first dropped. Thank you for your reaction.

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Atmospheric, haunting, heart-wrenching, stunning. The only thing better would be if I were sitting right in the center surrounded by their wall of sound. I’d know I had died and gone to Heaven.

This is just pure brilliance. The control and the blending of the voices - wow!!!

This pice influenced the song, “Run To You”. Scott stated The Trio has loved this song for 10 years and they originally arranged it for just the three of them but didn’t record it. Now, with Matt and Kev, the time seemed right. What is sooo astonishing to me is the restraint the group maintains with this! With the tessitura so high, staying in tune and producing a sustained emotional vocal line while maintaining a blending balance can be treacherous! Here, for me, is where Pentatonix members show their superior mastery of their craft!

I just got done seeing them tonight and this was one of their closing numbers. Was even better than this as they stood in a semicircle with one central mic and took out their in ear monitors. The rest of the packed arena was totally silent until the end. Stunning performance!

Their blend is flawless. So much so it’s nearly impossible to distinguish individual voices at times. Stunningly beautiful!!

PTX has known this song for 10 years. It's been one of their faves, but they hadn't recorded it till now. Original is by the Rescues which they used only high voices for. I like how PTX added lower parts to it. This song was their inspiration for "Run to You". They did this in concert with the same style you indicated, around a light without mics. Beautiful!

I am totally confused right now lol...I thought this was an original that they wrote. I've only been a Pentaholic for a year, so bare with me. Are you sure this isn't an original?
@MichaelMcCloud292 жыл бұрын
@@JEBPsych If you search “My Heart With You” by The Rescues it will answer your question. The song came out about 13 years ago by this point. They have the regular version and a “studio recording” version which has bass

In concert, they do not use microphones. There are times all their eyes are closed. They are just so insync with each other, they do not need visual cues.

It was magical at the end of their concert. You could hear a pin drop. Where else can you get than many people in one place be quiet.

I love that they somehow are so blended and yet you can pick out their individual voices. I know It’s one of the things they’re known for, but it should be impossible, both shouldn’t be able to be true at the same time, but somehow it is.

This song def grows on you…The 1st time I heard it, I thought that’s nice, beautiful even, but there are others that I’d rather hear…the more that I hear it, the more I’m drawn to it! Mesmerizingly beautiful…rapidly becoming a favorite!!!

Hauntingly beautiful is a perfect description of this PTX song and performance Brad. They are so, so good when they get in a circle (or semi-circle live) and get into the 5-part harmonies!

There’s no official video for Light in the Hallway but there are lyric vids & live versions. It’s a sweet sweet lullaby Scott wrote when his nephew was born. As a Mom, it speaks my heart too.

This is definitely different for them, but no less beautiful. You should check out Sabaton's new original song "Christmas Truce", but make sure you watch the ending credits or you'll have the fans of two bands upset with you.
