Regardless of who's singing it, for a true SOPRANO, Eflat is not high. When you start hitting Bflat, C and beyond...THAT's HIGH. As other's have indicated, diction, no "scooping" to the note and ability to sustain without pitch fall is paramount.

E-flat is a high note to belt, even for a soprano. But the song is written for a mezzo-soprano voice and E-flat is around where the supported chest range of most mezzo-sopranos ends. As you may have noted some of these singers go for a balanced mix on the E-flat.

you're right, for a soprano its not high using head voice, but it is pretty high belting... it would be easier on an "ee" sound than the "oh" sound used in the song.

I think half the problem is the people who don’t open their mouth enough if that makes sense. Like one of the first girls didn’t open her mouth very wide and when singing unknown did more of unknOHwn in stead of unknAwhn if you can incision what What that sounds like. It just makes it sound more flat but the ah sound makes it easier to stay on top of the pitch

@Santiago Rosas you know right that average full voice of most soprano singers are c4 to c6, it's full voice, whether it sounds light or heavy....mezzo singers are A3 to A5, alto singers F3 to f5, and tenor C3 to c5, then baritone F2 to F4......soprano can actually belt with chest dominant up to A5 or B5 without sounding too light, their voice is naturally bright and light, that's why people mislabeled them as being mixed voice or light mixed voice with more headvoice than chest. Even my soprano friend, can belt with chest dominant up to B5, and c6 in a good day, B5 is consistent everyday, but she can make it sound more heady or more chesty....it is normal for soprano to hit b5 or c6 full voice (their full voice up there is light and bright), just like tenor sings b4 or c5....high note at the very end of their supported range, are very light compared to lower voice, cause it should sound that way anyway. Soprano that can't belt to c6 (whether is 50 50 mixed), is like a tenor who's too scared to sing B4 or c5 in full voice, they can if they want to....it's normal to be loud
