If you are into the style in which Haley delivers her version then, yes, you could think it's better. However that style of music does not coincide with the lyrics, in fact they are almost at odds. Brian's powerful dynamic in his delivery is very much like a person who feels the way the lyrics describe: quiet and introverted and then powerful and explosive like a person who has been pushed too far. Haley's version doesn't come close to the delivery of Brian's message.

His Audition (performance before this one) is AMAZING. CREEP is his iconic performance for the series (IMHO) but the way he performs Queen's "somebody to love" in the audition is captivating as well. I think he would've got a golden buzzer but I think they were all gone by his audition! Love you guys & reactions! :-)

FUN FACT: I remember when Superfruit published the "Rise" cover, Brian was currently competing on AGT. I was sooooo pissed he didn't win. He was beat out by a twelve year old girl with less than half his talent. He deserved to win the money and Las Vegas show.

I didn't normally watch these type of shows because I have no faith in the general public to recognize real talent, but started watching after I heard Brian sing elsewhere.I was so sure that this time the voters would get it right and He lost to a young girl who could barely sing as she strummed a Ukelele. I think in spite of that loss, he will be hugely successful following his dream of being a singer because he is a superb talent.

suzare FYI. That GIRL is Grace Vanderwaal. She won because she’s very unique. She won because she struck a nerve with the American public. She’s now selling millions of records, and has headlining tours. She writes everything she performs/records. She’s also now winning awards. It’s a tough call. Brian is gifted, and so is Grace. She just resonated more with the American audience. It’s the difference between apples and oranges!

If he had sung this in the final, he might have won instead of coming in 4th behind 2 magic acts and the winner, a charismatic 12-year-old singer/songwriter who performed 4 of her own original songs for the competition.

This was his second performance. His first audition was a cover of Queen's "Somebody To Love". After "Creep", for the quarter finals he sang Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" which was another killer performance and then the semi final cover of Tears to Fears "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" which I think was by far his best performance. For the final he did "Man In The Mirror" and that seemed,to me at least, to be his weakest performance. I, like many many others thought he should have won but he came in 4th, maybe because of that performance. And yes, PLEASE do reactions to his other performances. Also, look for a full performance that gives his back story.

No. It's the silence throughout the song. Noöne dared cheered during the big notes. Lest they miss the next note. For 2.5 minutes, he was in control of that world.

This performance was amazing but I'm even more impressed with his cover of Sias "Alive" (with Nicholas Connell), which no one seems to have done a reaction video to.
