Gonna be honest, when they all joined during the chorus for Home Alone I closed my eyes, goosebumps ran up my arms, and I got chocked up just a bit

Notice at the end, one of the tenors who was sort of directing them as they went, held his hand out for the sustained note before lifting it on one beat and dropping it on the other. Not only did they end perfectly in synch when he dropped his hand, when he LIFTED it and they knew the end was coming on the next beat, everyone’s vibrato kicked in at the same time. Fantastic

All of these movie scores were composed by John Williams, that's why the Lord of the Rings score wasn't part of this.

Yeah, _Lord of the Rings_ was composed by Howard Shore and is one of the few iconic and immediately recognisable movie scores that wasn't composed by John Williams. But there is no composer whose movie scores are all so iconic as John Williams' scores. All good composers have at least one legendary hit, like Shore and Hans Zimmer _(The Lion King_ and _Pirates of the Caribbean),_ but Williams will always be the undisputed king of movie scores.

@Alex C. No, in fact I think out of the movies in this medley only Star Wars and Home Alone are currently owned by Disney. And that is only through the acquisition of Lucas Film and 20th Century Fox respectively.

The Home Alone theme is pure, distilled childhood innocence. It's the musical form of being wrapped snuggly in a warm blanket by your mom, sitting by a soothing, crackling fire place, enjoying Saturday morning cartoons, and drinking hot cocoa all at the same time.

Something ( I think ) new for you. Since you do Game of Thrones and enjoy Lord of the Rings, on Peter Hollens KZbin channel, you'll find in his playlist around 15 songs for The Lord of the Rings, and 4 are so for Game of Thrones. My two favorites are Misty Mountains ft. Tim Foust from Home Free and a fun one called the Hobbit Drinking Medley. Check him out, he does a cappella also.

Lord of the rings wasn’t written by John Williams. But yes I agree there are no ICONIC movie songs that I can think of in the past 15 years that everyone knows. Other than maybe the avengers theme song

Since these movie's were made there has been a serious lack of creativity on Hollywood's part they have gone too .... well conservative. Not willing to take chances. Wonder Woman was the first movie in a long time to take some chances and show some real creativity and it blew away the competition. Hopefully some directors/producers were paying attention.
