Agreed. I hate trying to look up a basic concept, only to find 15-30min long videos that waste time plugging sponsors, their channel, merch, singing courses, patreon, explaining irrelevant concepts, and giving an unnecessarily deep history of the concept before just saying 'this is how to do it and why.'

You have such informative videos! I have an idea for a video - how do you practice in front of a mirror? What should you look out for, and what does the 'perfect' singing position look like when you include all that jargon with jaw, larynx, neck tension, tongue, soft palate etc. You can pretend that your camera is a mirror when you're practicing and show us how your throat should look when singing correctly. Just a suggestion - you have so many good videos already =)

The advice would be the same for any voice unless you're trying to hone in on a specific style. Find any "how to sing high" video and that's a good start! - so long as you trust the teacher. 😉

I found some of your video a couple of months ago and have really appreciated them! I have a couple questions: 1) I have a deviated septum - do you have thoughts on what aspects of singing would be affected and what I should look out for? 2) I find that my throat get dry and tight after singing for a little while. In this video you mentioned that breathing through the mouth would make ones throat dry - makes sense. do you think that is all it is, or might there be other factors?

Hello, thanks for the clear explanation, it really helps. My question is " do we breathe out at all through our nose whenever we are singing? If yes, when? I have heard it once that it is when we try to sing a breathy tone, we will breathe out the lyrics through both our mouth and our nose. Is it correct? Thanks a lot. I love your channel!

I'm a 17 year old boy. I'm having a vocal difficulty since the last 4 months. I noticed that I always speak in a very low pitch. I used to sing but now I can't because now my voice isn’t as normal as it should be. I can't speak in my chest voice. So I decided to stop speaking for a week to rest my voice. And then I will try the exercises given by you. Please let me know if it’s alright and suggest me of what I should do.

Hi, love your videos. This one felt strange to me though, so I looked into it further. It feels that there is an airflow conflict between mouth breathing and nasal breathing. Other resources suggest that through the mouth is the preferred method for singing. I can't verify through feeling that air is actually flowing through my nose into my lungs when I try both. It feels like the mouth breath overrides the nasal breath, even if a little air is pulled into the entrance of the nasal cavity. Thoughts?

Please answer my question. Is it normal that your chest and throay get tight when you inhale from the belly or ? And when i inhale from my belly and start to sing i feel like im gonna run out of breath fast. Maybe im just used to inhale from my chest because when i inhale from my chest and start to sing i don't feel like im gonna run out of breath fast. I'm just learning to inhale and exhale from my belly. What should i do so my chest and throat won't tight ehen i inhale from my belly? And so that when i exhale or sing i will not gonna run out of breath fast.?

Hi Selva kumar, Are you referring to your breath support? I've made a small video series about breathing technique if you are interested. Here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m16cfYOmqKecmqc singing from the "belly" often refers to supporting your voice with air from your diaphragm. If that is what you are referring to, then yes you should sing from your belly :)
