Well, the horrible experience you had on the last ride is kind of a scam. It’s pretty common if you watch other drivers video. If something happens with you in b/w the drive, uber wont be responsible because you have not dropped the passenger at the app location. Other uber drivers just cancel the ride or ask the passenger to leave the car on app destination. Beware of such scams!

Just a comment for everyone who are thinking to became a uber/life driver. If you do not love to drive don't do it. Every single area pays different, so don't matter How much you will see drivers are making because it will depend of states, areas, and cities. Also it will depends of what car you are driving, and your interaction with passengers. on top of that if you get some type of information from those companies about the hourly average in your area, that information you is just active time, so, this companies really do not say the truth them just count the time that you actually are driving a passenger on your car and the time that take you to pick the passenger up. But not the time that you wait from a ride to show up in the app. all this without mentioning the time that you need to put on cleaning your car, service, tair rotation, inspections, etc. and do not forget TAX you going to pay at the end of the year tax on your "profits". so if this person in this video made $40 in 2 hours mines tax and electricity he really made last than 32 in those 2 hours. remember you will do this with not benefits of any kind (no dental, not vacation, not medical. etc.) in Short: if you do not love to drive don't do it. Also if you do not love to interact with people of all kinds do not do it. you must love doing both because for real it is not big money on this file. However, if you love this 2 thinks you could be ok doing it, after all. BTW I am a driver for Uber and Life. 4.98 ⭐ on Uber and 5.0 ⭐ on Life, but I love to drive as much as I could do it almost for free. and I really enjoyed crazy people. one of my favorites things to do in this job is to pick up angry people and and drop them off happy. some things that I really dislike about this job is bad smalls and when someone piss or 🤮 in my car. last time that someone piss my seat was like 7 months ago. last time that someone 🤮 in my car was long, long ago. It was back in tha days when there was not Ubers around, like 13 years ago. However, this is something that still happening some where, sometime, to some drivers. sincerely me, how is a driver and watched this entire video.

@@KkVickk very true, there are so many hidden costs, that people end up overlooking or forget, when they see their final amount on the app. What's given on the app is a very small amount. So if I am happy with paying so less , compared to regular taxi or limousine service, then as a driver how much are you making after UBER takes their profit per trip, and after deducting all your car expenses per day, and the money worth of your skills being wasted.... @@rein556 in that case do some research about renting a car for Uber. I think There should be some options, but first applied and accepted by Uber. I don't know more. Don't think UBER is a money making option. There is a running cost on the car, the ride to your pickup point is not paid, being stuck in traffic is expensive. The only way to make something extra is tips, however people would tip 15 -20% at a restaurant, but will not tip an UBER for having been driven safely and reaching your destination on time. Too much time wasted away from family... Instead of doing UBER invest in learning something new, go to the library...just put all the effort to learn and do something more constructive. Not saying UBER is entirely bad, but if the costs are worked out, what you get after expenses , that is your daily car cost, fuel, or electric, loan or leasing cost, cleaning cost, insurance, wear and tear, ...and a lot more, that's not factored , when you see what you receive per trip, not worth the hassle.. A software engineer, can find so many other ways to make money...than be an UBER driver. No doubt it's the easiest job to get....but it's not worth the effort There are so many hidden costs, that people end up overlooking or forget, when they see their final amount on the app. What's given on the app is a very small amount. Look at it this way....as a rider I take a UBER , because it is cheap/economical. The truth is, You don’t make 200k a year driving. Any driver that says that, is lying through their teeth. If a driver makes 200k, he’d pay more than 20-30k in taxes. No driver is dumb enough to pay that kind of income tax. 200k is a gross number, from which expenses are deducted. Expenses vary but usually, expenses equate to 60% of gross bookings. Essentially a Uber/Taxi driver at max, can make 80k a year on which he’ll pay taxes and his net income after taxes is usually around 45-60k a year. So this guy is right, YOU cannot make more than a software engineer driving for Uber because a software engineer sits at an office or home while a driver is out there hustling and driving, which will burn you out quicker and a driver works 6-7 days to make 200k at 14-16hrs a day. A software engineer works like a normal hooman….8-10 hrs a day at max and has weekends off and has a life. Driving Uber or Taxi is good on a part time basis to help pay for school and personal expenses but if you want to make it a career when you have options, then clearly you have your priorities mixed up. Take it from me, I’m speaking from experience.
