Very useful, I think. I tried the 9 min idea of just one note chest and slide up to the 5th while trying to release the chest one and relax into the falsetto one. My range is so not good. But I bet if I only did this for 15 min every day, in 6 months I'd prob gain one step of range. Also, just a weird thought... if you shaved your hair and lost the glasses, you'd look like Joe Satriani's brother! Plus, I am jealous of your dang finger length!!!! why does everyone have long fingers while I'm trying to play guitar over here? :)

My question to you is why is it that when we're intermediate singers, the larynx must move up slightly to get into the head voice.... But when you become advanced it's possible to lower the larynx to the floor while still hitting higher notes with no problem?

That's just mechanistic. All levels can learn to access their upper range with a slightly raised or lowered larynx. It all depends on the tone you want. A slightly lifted larynx will get a sharper tone while a lowered larynx will darken the tone. Its really just the difference of skill levels. Intermediate and advanced guitar players can play the same scales but the advanced player will be able to play faster and have more flexibility to improvise around it.

Not as hard as it sounds. Its just tricky. Once you learn the mechanics of it, its not that difficult. It just takes time to develop
