The lyrics are nothing short of incredible!! Each verse different and meaningful. Puts modern singers to shame! What an amazing talent!

@michaellewis2068 it was one of the most emotionally-charged performances in Calypso Monarch History. I does get misty-eyed and all :D

With all the rap music and reggae music songs about ghetto life, there has been no better description of poverty than in this song by Singing Sandra.

I am so proud of Trinbagonians who seem to have the correct vision for where our culture needs to be. Viewers must be aware that most of these live videos like this that is on the net is a direct result of someone copying for this or other pirating purposes in mind. As near as the 80s and prior these live performances were destroyed by the government owned and operated television station know as TTT. Rather than purchase new reels of film they will film over these treasures like these! Shame!
@jennlinx13 жыл бұрын
@Quelvisv Yes because you certainly have your priorities straight, we should be more like you!

There are a lot of similarities I won't say its the same song. I was actually living in Grenada when Scholar sang "Voices" and it never once came to mind when I first heard "Voices from the Ghetto".
