Hello Lauren... cheers from Brazil my dear... did you know that Gabriel never took singing lessons? He is a self taught singer so he learned to sing just listen to Whitney and Mariah because his dad is a big fan of them and he used to play them for Gabriel on his childhood, he started to sing around 4 years old... let me tell you, Gabriel intention on agt was to sing Cynthia Erivo music Stand Up, however the production denied even when he insisted... so they came with a few suggestion for him... was not his choice however he did an spectacular job there, magical, mesmerizing, gigantic, galactical... his voice and vocal hability are not from this world... I am very very disappointed with agt for Gabriel been eliminated... I would love to see Gabriel / Chakra and Lachuné on the finals because their singing are just an spectacular moments that really makes are lives share higher emotions for a moment... we deserve singers like Gabriel... most people like music but real good music must be elevated to another level so the world can see them... my opinion is Agt loss... Gabriel now is well known all around the world so we hope he will now take another step in his career... so sad now and mad with agt... but it is what it is... Gabriel is the BEST singer EVER on AGT! PERIOD. But he didn't make the finals. 😢 Thats criminal imo. I'm 72, American who has been steeped in music all my life. Putri has gotten far more attention because of what I believe is her youth, her back story and the sheer massive number of people from her part of the world rooting for her. Yes, she is talented. But her vocal ability cannot compare with Gabriel's. I would pay decent money to see him in person and that's something I'm very selectful with. It's a shame he was eliminated. But I also believe his time on AGT has brought him many new fans around the globe. Thank you. ❤

Agree, it was disappointing to hear he was eliminated. However, on the bright side it opens up opportunities for him to get a better contract deal. His talent is bigger than what AGT has to offer.

I totally agree! Gabriel vocal is by far much better than any singers in the final. Just because they knew he could win AGT so they have done something behind scene to get him eliminated. Is bloody unfair and I m shocked!

That was not the song Gabriel wanted to sing. His first choice was "I Want To Know What Love Is," but the producers had reserved that song for Lavender. Afterward, he spent two weeks trying to convince the producers to let him sing "Stand Up" by Cynthia Erivo. The producers insisted on him singing the latter song. It's a beautiful rendition, and I loved it, but for competitions like this, I think songs that are not well-known by most people don't help. Additionally, it's a bit repetitive, making it harder for him to showcase all his skills. Nevertheless, Gabriel is an amazing singer, and I'm confident he will have a bright future.

It’s pretty obvious that the producers wanted Putri to have no competition. Gabriel was screwed over. I just hope that the recognition he has now will be enough for him to find the right producer/songwriter who can take him to the top, which is where he should be. ❤❤

@@helenosilveira8634 não acho que seja só a escolha da música, tem vários fatores envolvidos, mas acho que interfere sim, para o público geral, que está sentado no sofá, se eles escutam uma música que já conhecem tendem a ter mais identificação e se engajar para votar. Todos os demais cantores pegaram músicas conhecidas de grandes nomes da música (U2, Tina Turner, Pink...), Gabriel cantou uma música pouco conhecida de um cantor que gosto muito, o Jacob Banks, mas que apesar de excelente não tem tanta repercussão (Gabriel tem mais seguidores que ele tanto no youtube quanto no instagram), muitos youtubers internacionais que fazem reacts questionaram a escolha da música.

Não concordo com algumas coisas que você disse, afinal se deu uma opinião e disse que não conhece a música como sabe que ele estava fora de ritimo? para dizer que ele esta fora de rítimo precisa saber a letra da música junto com a entrada na percusão dos instrumento o piano que é da mesma familia da bateria foi o que foi tocado na música !, coisa que vc mesma disse que não conhece, você ouviu a música original, estudou a música,conhece que o piano é um instrumento que não se usa os dedos para tocar os martelos que tocam a corda internamente !, essa música apesar de ser bonita , obrigaram a ele escolher!, a música que ele ia cantar não deixaram escolher todo mundo conhece o programa e sabe quem é que escolhe !, você deve ser uma ótima cantora pois todos os professores de canto aqui no youtube do mundo o elogiaram principalmente na hora do opito e do grito que foi tão longo e belo que se tornou uma música em 5:32 na hora do grito onde você cortou, nessa música e vendo sua reação dizendo que é só puro apito parece que ele nada fez para você , parece ser muito facil fazer, foi um momento mágico no apito, por acaso vc sabe fazer ? estamos muito orgulhosos dele, foi lindo ! uma dica já que você é uma professora de música tão exigente, não deixe um instrumento músical como o teclado do jeito que vc deixou no chão e na vertical se pode perder o aparelho se ele cair, isso se ele já não estiver quebrado ! você intende mesmo de música? demonstre respeito aos instrumentos músicais é com ele que se produz a música que tanto ama ! obrigado por reagir a nosso talento.
