The vocal range required to sing this song is very wide! So nice to see Akasha taking the lead, and she's absolutely the right choice for this one. I saw Kim Wilde a few years ago, and her niece (the backing singer) stole the show. Akasha seems to have the same lively stage presence, so I hope we'll see more of her in future videos.

As a 55yr old musician I can honestly say that this channel showcases some of the most versatile musicians i have ever seen! Keep doing what you’re doing people / folks whatever you can call a team of musicians that can literally switch gears (styles.) like this Chanel. Love to see it. Are you one of the musicians or an orchestrator of the Chanel ? How many members are you working with, I play guitar lead, bass and percussions (standing.) You know vibraslap flextone bongos congas etc etc It’s the ability of your particular musicians to be self controlled and extremely versatile. The are all Quality musicians, the fact that they are able to change up for different songs and pull it off is extremely impressive. While we musicians know that people leave bands due to clashes of attitude. (This should surprise nobody.) With an active group it is almost like a marriage. With its differences self control is a must. This is by far the most interesting of people watching them change up on different songs. Now of extreme video was the making of blondy’s call me. Before that i wasn’t sure it wasn’t the actual recording, once i found that I went to the original version To see the difference. I was amazed that the difference’s where there but everyone was so good at their parts I could not tell It was a cover, watching the videos I can can say no one musician Was lacking in their preforming in fact I would call this extremely rare! With people pretending today “The making of” style no matter how short or long was what stopped me in my tracks. Keep up the good work you have my complete attention! 🔥🔥🫡

After the message I sent I went over several covers and figured out what it was that made me think at first glance that they were possibly playing behind the original song, the mixing of the music! I have a young guy in Jamaica that I have my eye on who is similar. He had a self made song as an intro to the Chanel. We went back and forth. While I am not affiliated directly With your Chanel I can say adding before or after the video a short making of on each film just so people know they are not seeing Someone dubbing over the original would be even more of a mind blowing experience. Best wishes to you and your team of musicians. Let them know that I said their talent is second to none. I have been doing this for a long long time. I am of an age that was smack bang in the middle of this era as it emerged. I can confidently state this version if played in the 80’s it would have been embraced as every bit as much as the original. I cannot give this interpretation higher praise and as a teenager and young adult of the 80’s.

The wait is finally over and after numerous hints, Akasha finally not only gets to sing "Kids in America" but does it solo too. Absolutely blown away how she looks and sounds like a young Kim Wilde and certainly made an Englishman very happy this Saturday morning, although i'm probably just behind a very proud Mum in Nikki!. Obviously all good singers have to be backed up by a great band and the usual high standards are here in spades, so well done to everyone on another awesome video and onto the next.
