I never was a fan of this song by the EAGLES but the Bass, the drums, the lead and rhythm guitar and just the whole band overall including the live recording is just terrific, I saved the song! The instruments sounds so clear.

It was (to me) the only Eagles song that had a sort of 'funky groove' happening and so it had to be our first one. Don Henley is aggressive when it comes to removing cover versions of anything he wrote so I have to accept the whole takedown-dipute thing every time. It's such a pity 🤷🏼‍♂️

As I sit in my living room with my new TV, I gifted myself for Christmas, I cued this up from KZbin. Since the screen is so much larger than what I had before, it was almost life-size. I would have thought that spreading the music far and wide through covers (especially excellent ones like SiL achieve) would promote their material. I was a teen in the 70s. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to Hotel California in total, especially when driving as a Great car stereo was always a top priority. Probably driven over 700K miles so far in my life. This always got me doing above the speed limit almost every time! Nothing like GREAT Harmonies, 3 Guitars with Felder and Walsh interplay, Keys and tight Bass and Drums to take me BACK. Zkye is the frosting on the Cake! YUMMY! They even used this in the "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" soundtrack. What a GREAT time in history. I'd wish you were all there, but it would be horrible to age you like that! LOL Been in the hospital with that Chicken Pox re attack as an adult and this was a nice pick me up! Thanks! Forgot about the pain the whole song!
