She can be brought back with ambrosia so her and craig can live together. My understanding about the rules is that it's the matriarch that cannot have her life extended, but Chelsea is no longer the matriarch so she can have ambrosia then use the life potions or even become a vampire after moving out. She doesn't have to be dead and gone, because she's fulfilled the original rules.

She wouldn't be considered the matriarch anymore, so, to me, the rules wouldn't have counted towards her. (Plus, who cares? People that get uppity about the rules can just play it themselves.)

We can look at it as "end badly" but honestly would moving in with Craig have made her death better? If Chelsea had moved in with Craig when she had the option, she would have just died offscreen away from the family home with none of her kids around and her passing wouldn't have been part of the series except for a pop up message letting us know. At least this way Kasey was there together with her and the family gets to keep the tombstone/urn to remember her by.

So here's my take on her sudden death... When Chelsea tried to seduce Death she truly succeeded, he fell madly, deeply in love with her but it was true torment upon his soul to know they could never be together because he was not of the land of the living. So when Chelsea made her lasting commitment to Craig, Death instead took her for his own hoping that he could win her love in the hereafter before Craig followed her in death.

Unpopular opinion (?): After pondering for awhile I actually think this ending for Chelsea is good. Kacey was with her mother when she died so the torch for baby making was passed. Chelsea gets to stay with her family and watch all her future grand kids be born, and see the current kids when they come around. I like this better than if she had moved out that day and then immediately died off screen in some house with new Craig. This way Chelsea is still a part of the game. I will laugh if her ghost is mischievous and breaks things, but I bet she'll sneak in at night and soothe the babies and play with the kids. This ending was not what we expected, but it is what we needed, and I ship it.

When Chelsea died (that hurt to type) I just paused the video and laid on my floor to feel sad for a few minutes. Chelsea was a character that we all grew to love over these many videos. We witnessed her ups and downs of parenting all of her children. Since the beginning starting with Olive, and until the end, Chelsea was and always will be the heart of the series. R.I.P. Chelsea!
