Long promised, here is my single handed rigging and de-rigging of a Shadow microlight. The gantry is 2.1m tall and 1.7m wide. Thanks to John Mackay for the excellent camerawork.

Great video, Adrian. Very helpful for Shadow and Streak owners who use covered trailers to 'hangar' their aircraft.

Even the KZbin speech to text app implementing the closed captioning is having trouble understanding Mumbles' narration.

Well done. How long would the "average competent" person take to rig/prepare the Shadow for flight? 1 to 2 hours and similar for take down, perhaps less?

Thanks Roger. With a bit of practice it would take about an hour.

Elegantly comprehensive! You've thought of everything it seems. Just one question: what secures the wing pins in place?
@adrianpjones3 жыл бұрын
There is a safety pin at the bottom.

You have good solutions to assemble the plane without help. How long does it take between opening the container and sitting on the plane and heading to the runaway ?
